Holiday Home Rental Description
Located in the village of Necujam on the north coast of the island of Solta sits Villa Necu. Boasting a sleek, modern design with a private swimming pool and four bedrooms, Villa Necu can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests in style.
The village of Necujam has long been popular with visitors to Solta thanks to its wide bay. Although rocky, this beach is a great spot for swimming in the azure waters of the Adriatic. The village is home to a few restaurants, which are easily reached from the villa, perfect for when you fancy a night off from cooking.
Villa Necu offers 200m2 of living space spread over two floors and enjoys wonderful views of the bay. The open-plan living area is on the ground floor and is configured in an L-shape. To the rear is the living area, with a vibrant green sofa and accompanying armchair set around a large flat-screen television, this is the perfect place to snuggle up together and relax in the evenings. The dining area and kitchen are located to the front of the room next to the large sliding doors that open out onto the pool terrace allowing sunlight to stream in and brighten up the room. The dining area seats eight guests around a stylish wooden table with matching chairs. A further three guests can be seated at the breakfast bar, so guests can keep the chef of the group company as they cook up a feast. The kitchen is sleek and modern, with white counters and cabinets and is equipped with all you could need to cook a delicious homecooked meal.
The first of the four bedrooms is found on the ground floor. Offering calming neutral decor with a good-sized double bed and modern en-suite bathroom, this bedroom can be transformed into a quiet oasis for guests to retreat to. The remaining bedrooms are all on the first floor. The master bedroom boasts a sumptuous double bed and sleek en-suite bathroom with access to the upper balcony to enjoy the wonderful sea views. The final two bedrooms are both home to two single beds and share the use of a family bathroom also on this floor – these bedrooms are great for siblings or friends to share.
The modern design continues outside at Villa Necu, with the 8m x 2m private swimming pool taking centre stage. The terrace is easily accessed from the kitchen and living area thanks to large sliding doors allowing the terrace and living area to be on one level. Sun loungers are found next to the pool, so adults can relax in the sun while younger guests play in the pool nearby. There is also an outdoor dining area seating eight guests to the front of the terrace which enjoys the sweeping views of the sea and mainland in the distance.Villa Necu is located in the village of Necujam on the north coast of Solta in Croatia’s Adriatic Sea. The village is home to a few small restaurants and is best known for its wide bay. This pebble beach is less than 1 km from the villa and is a great place to visit for a swim in the sea and to explore the local area.
A number of other villages and bays are scattered around Solta, including Maslinica on the island’s west coast. This small town was once a quiet fishing village but is home to a number of amenities and restaurants serving tourists. The main beach here offers the opportunity to rent a kayak or small boat to explore the inlets along the coastline. And Solta’s only sandy beach at Sipkova Cove is located not far from the town and is a popular spot for a day out.
Solta is most commonly reached via ferry from Split, which arrives into the main port of Rogac on the island. This ferry ride takes around an hour, and once you arrive, Rogac is a great place to stock up on any essential supplies before heading to your villa. Alternatively, you can hop on a catamaran from Split to Rogac, which takes around 30 minutes.
Solta is one of the less touristy islands in Croatia’s Dalmatian archipelago, and sitting at 19 km long and 5 km wide, it is also one of the smallest. Nevertheless, the island has had a steady stream of visitors over the years, and tourism is starting to increase on the island. Historically, olive oil and honey production, as well as fishing, were the main sources of income on the island and today such industries are opening up to tourists. Visitors can visit one of the farms to learn more about the history of the island and catch a glimpse of traditional island life. Tourists can also rent boats to explore Solta’s unique coastline as well as nearby islands. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
