You’ll be closer to the ocean than most at this delightful 3-bedroom villa, located in the ever-popular port of Rovinj on Croatia’s Istrian coast. Right at the water’s edge, this property combines rustic style with an unbeatable location, well within reach of Rovinj’s charming Old Town.
Rovinj may bustle with visitors, but this well-equipped villa is set away from the busiest areas, giving you plenty of peace and quiet. The views are calming too, especially from your seafront terrace which is perfect for dining. You can watch the fishing boats returning to harbour in the mornings, and hear the sound of the sea as you sleep.
Just inside, you have an attractive kitchen and dining area, equipped with all you will need, including a Nespresso coffee machine. The house was originally built in 1670, and retains plenty of its original features. A beautiful living area offers some new additions, like satellite TV, DVD and a Sonos sound system. Of course, there is Wi-Fi too.
The three double bedrooms have been expertly styled and give up to six guests the chance to enjoy Villa Seafront Neven’s undeniable glamour. They are accompanied by a trio of en-suite bathrooms which will also impress.

Alternatively, you could explore the many excellent restaurants which are close by – Rovinj’s Michelin Star dining room Monte is only five minutes’ walk away, near the town’s landmark St Euphemia Church.
It’s a joy to potter around Rovinj’s cobbled streets, enjoy stops at pavement cafés or one of the highly-rated pizzerias. The beautiful Punta Corrente Forest Park is a fine place to take a walk, or you could enjoy a variety of water-sports from kayaking to diving, a popular way to view the many shipwrecks lying on the sea-bed near Rovinj.On the Istrian coast, the town of Rovinj is the biggest visitor destination for miles, and you will soon see why. With a 14-island archipelago on its doorstep, this pretty port seems to have been made for the good life – relaxing on Rovinj’s idyllic terraces while admiring the ocean view may be a simple pleasure, but it shouldn’t be missed.
The Old Town is situated on a peninsula which juts out into the Adriatic. It’s here that you will find the town’s most famous landmark, the imposing Baroque church of St Euphemia. Its bell tower, modelled on that of St Mark’s Cathedral in Venice, can be climbed for a fee and offers rewarding views of the area.
Around the town, you have a wide range of restaurants, from tourist trap to high-end. The highlight of the latter category is Monte, which offers a 7-course menu and more than 100 wines. The atmosphere is pleasingly unstuffy and adds to the experience. Other spots popular with locals include the Da Sergio pizzeria, romantic Puntulina, and Croatian-only Kantinon.
Rovinj is a great place for watersports, with snorkelling and diving popular. The wreck of an Austrian steamer, the Baron Gautsch lies beneath the surface and is a popular attraction, with organised dives available. Boat trips around the islands are scenic and enjoyable, as are visits to the magnificent Punta Corrente Forest Park.
The town has some cultural offerings too, from the galleries along Grisia to museums of local history, such as the Batana Eco-Museum which has a maritime focus.
