Villa Vicencija boasts unspoilt sea views and an idyllic hillside position in a rural, coastal area close to the town Omiš. This traditional stone property has been renovated throughout to create a comfortably stylish holiday home.
Full of traditional character as well as contemporary style, you get the best of both worlds at Villa Vicencija. An abundance of natural materials complements the villa’s stunning surroundings, creating a sense of the outside brought in.
On the ground floor is a fabulous living area with your private bar. This means you can play pour and serve everyone their favourite drinks and then relax on the comfortable corner sofa. Unwind even further by watching a film on the wall-mounted flat screen television or by enjoying some mellow music before dinner.
Move over to the tavern-style dining space, complete with a small kitchen. Get the flames going inside the built-in stone fireplace, then sit down to a delicious meal at the classic wood dining table under a cosy and intimate atmosphere.
There’s another living room to the first floor, which shares the open plan space with a kitchen and dining area. The corner sofa is ideally positioned to make the most of the warmth from the stone fireplace and of the views outside. There’s also air conditioning for keeping cool on warmer days.
The small kitchen is perfectly equipped for preparing quick lunches or dinners, which are quickly and easily served at the dining table. There’s also a bathroom with shower on this floor for convenience and a terrace for soaking up the views.
The second floor is where you’ll find three of the four bedrooms. All of them are air-conditioned, and each features a king size bed and a television. There are also two bathrooms and terrace access.
On loft, level is the fourth bedroom. This bedroom features air conditioning, a king size bed and a lovely seating area by patio doors that open straight onto a terrace with further seating. The sea views from here are simply stunning and are the perfect sight to wake up to every morning.
The ground-floor, partially-covered terrace is home to a dining area with built-in barbecue. Enjoy its rustic, Mediterranean charm as you dine al fresco and take in the glorious scenery.
Steps lead down to the terrace with a private swimming pool and several sun loungers for reclining in style. Areas of fragrant plants, flowers and trees allow you to get an authentic feel for the sights and scents of the Croatian countryside.Villa Vicencija is peacefully nestled within the countryside close to the coast, but there are some convenient amenities a short distance away. These include several restaurants, shops, a bakery and a supermarket.
Krilo Beach is also just a short drive away from the villa. Here you’ll find a mostly pebbly stretch with clear waters that are ideal for swimming and plenty of trees providing natural shade. There’s also as a beach café bar serving drinks and snacks.
The town of Omiš is just a 15-minute drive away from the villa. This makes it easy to stock up on groceries from a broader range of shops and supermarkets.
There’s also plenty to see and do throughout the town. Famous for being a favourite home for pirates during the 13th and 14th centuries, the old town is a great place to get a feel for the history and atmosphere here.
One of the top sites to visit is the 13th-century Mirabella Fortress, as well as the Franciscan Monastery. You can also book hiking, rafting and canyoning tours that leave from the town and open up its more full area for exploration.
A 40-minute drive will bring you to Croatia’s second-largest city, Split, which is packed full of history. Within its ancient stone walls are numerous buildings dating back right back to Roman times.
One of the best examples of architecture from this era is Diocletian’s Palace. There’s also the 4th-century Saint Domnius Cathedral to marvel at.
