Mixing modern and traditional styles and sleeping up to 8 guests in total comfort, Villa Vrana is a stunning four-bedroom holiday property located on a hill overlooking the picturesque Vrana Lake Nature Park and the islands of the glittering Adriatic. With a wonderfully spacious, light and airy interior, Villa Vrana manages to be both contemporary and stylish, yet cosy – from the soft, comfy grey sofa in the living area and authentic patterned Croatian tiles in the kitchen space to the exposed wooden ceiling beams that contrast beautifully with the fresh, white decor. 
Open-plan for seamless movement throughout, the living, kitchen and dining areas all feature well-crafted furniture for relaxing and eating, and the whole villa is well-equipped with all the high-quality modern conveniences and home comforts you would expect from such luxury style accommodation, including WiFi, air conditioning throughout, washing machine, high chairs and a games console.
There are four bedrooms at Villa Vrana; two doubles and two twin rooms – perfect for those travelling with children or for groups of friends who holiday together. The bedrooms are decorated in fresh, bright white with accents of turquoise and lemon present in the furnishings. There’s plenty of wardrobe space, so no need to live out of your suitcase! – and all the rooms showcase fabulous scenic views. There are also two modern bathrooms with glass-fronted showers and towels and toiletries at your disposal.
Stepping out onto the stone terrace, guests will enjoy the panoramic views of the natural landscape, as well as the well-maintained, good-sized yard that features everything you’ll need to enjoy a wonderfully relaxing stay. There’s a private swimming pool, garden furniture and sun loungers, perfect for a day of soaking up the sunshine before taking a cooling dip, as well as a covered outdoor dining area and a large bbq grill for enjoying alfresco meals in the shade. You’ll find entertainment outside in the form of a billiard table, covered for comfort, and just begging for an after-dinner tournament!  

Nature lovers, in particular, will delight in the location of Villa Vrana. Lake Vrana is rich in biodiversity and is a favourite destination for bird watchers and those who love to fish. There are three national parks in the area, Kornati archipelago, Krka waterfalls and Paklenica, and all have plenty to offer. Krka is famous for the numerous cascades and waterfalls, and visitors flock here to swim in the natural pond underneath the park’s main attraction, the spectacular Skradinski Buk waterfall. All year round, there are activities within the park, ranging from educational talks and trails and recreational and cultural events. 
Climbers and hikers will be thrilled to discover Paklenica national park, a mixture of high peaks and stunning views, deep gorges, and beech and pine forests. There are some challenging hiking trails and more gentle walks to enjoy, so it should be easy to find something to suit everyone. If being by the sea is more your thing, island hopping at Kornati national park is the perfect destination for you. Stunningly beautiful, here you’ll be able to take a boat tour along the shores and dive, snorkel and swim to your heart’s content in the crystal clear Adriatic.
History buffs will be pleased to know that two of the most interesting historic towns on the Adriatic coast, Šibenik and Zadar, are just 30 minutes from the villa and are both exciting and rich in culture. Sibenik, the ‘gateway to the Kornati Islands’, boasts historical wonders, uncrowded coastline, and fantastic wine – not to mention being one of the locations for filming the popular TV show, Game of Thrones. You’ll find the famous Cathedral of St James here, as well as the city museum, the impressive Franciscan Church and Monastery, and St Michael’s Castle, all stunning pieces of architecture that are well worth visiting.
If you decide to head to nearby Zadar, be sure to visit the town’s famous Sea Organ. Designed by Nikola Basic in 2005, this impressive installation features 35 organ pipes that emit otherworldly tones determined by the waves. Come after dark if you can, and you’ll be treated to a stunning light show as well! The ‘Greeting To The Sun’ installation features 300 multi-layered glass plates set in a circle and synchronised with the same wave energy. Beneath the glass is solar modules that spring into life at sunset, using lights to simulate our solar system. It is a sight worth seeing!
