Villa Walto Croatia
Holiday Home Rental Description
Villa Walto is comprised of three modern apartments sharing a spacious communal pool, accommodating 12 guests across six stylish bedrooms. Each apartment is on its own floor in the villa, allowing guests to appreciate added privacy while still being able to enjoy the pool terrace together.
Located on the north coast of Solta in the village of Necujam, Villa Walto is a great island escape for a large family or group of friends looking to spend time together while also enjoying their own quiet time and privacy. Necujam is known for its wide bay, and although it is largely pebbled, the bay is a great spot for swimming and exploring the underwater world. There a few restaurants in the village which are perfect for when you fancy a night off from cooking, and as Solta is one of the smaller islands in the Dalmatian archipelago, other villages ripe for exploring are never too far away.
Villa Walto is set over three floors, with an apartment on each floor. Each apartment is designed with an open-plan living area, with a kitchen, living and dining area. Each of the living areas is home to comfortable sofas and a television that would be the perfect place to snuggle up and relax after evenings out in the Croatian sunshine. The dining areas in the apartments can each sit six guests, so be sure to invite each other round for dinner parties in the evening! Villa Walto has the benefit of three wonderfully equipped kitchens, one for each apartment, so there are no excuses for not trying out some new recipes. Each kitchen is open to the rest of the space, allowing the conversation to flow no matter where you are in the room.
The six bedrooms are spread across the three apartments. Although simple in design, the bedrooms have all you could need to a good night’s rest. The first bedroom is found in the ground floor apartment and is home to two single beds. While the bathroom in this apartment is not en-suite, as there are no other bedrooms here, so it offers the privacy of en-suite.
The first floor apartment can sleep up to five guests between two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room. The bedrooms on this floor share use of a family bathroom and boast a double bed and bunk beds respectively, making this the perfect set up for families.
The final three bedrooms are located on the top floor in the second floor apartment. The master bedroom of this apartment boasts a sumptuous double bed while the remaining bedrooms offer twin beds and a single bed that would be ideal for little ones. All the bedrooms in this apartment have use of a good-sized family bathroom.
Outside at Villa Walto is where the group can come together. The 9m x 3m private swimming pool can be found to the front of the villa and will certainly be a hit with the whole group. A spacious terrace wraps around the pool and is dotted with sun loungers, so adults can keep an eye on kids in the pool while they relax on a lounger. Next to the pool, there is a covered outdoor dining area seating ten guests comfortably. A barbecue is also available so you will definitely be able to enjoy alfresco dining and outdoor living at Villa Walto!Villa Walto is located on the north coast of Solta in the village of Necujam. Solta is one of the smallest islands in the Dalmatian archipelago at 19 km long and 5 km wide, and it is also not as touristy as some of the other islands like Hvar and Brac. Solta is a surprisingly hilly island with a varied coastline of steep cliffs, deep bays and sheltered coves.
The village of Necujam is known for its naturally rocky, wide bay that is great for swimming and enjoying the Adriatic Sea. There are a few restaurants in the village, so if you don’t feel like cooking, then you can easily access restaurants from your doorstep. Further afield and on the island’s west coast, you will find the only sandy beach on Solta at Sipkova cove. Popular for its picturesque shores and sandy banks, this cove can be a little busier than others during the summer. The main beach in neighbouring Maslinica is also popular, as visitors have the opportunity to rent a kayak or small boat and explore the nearby coastline.
Most visitors to Solta arrive via ferry from Split into Rogac, the major port on Solta. A car and passenger ferry from Split can take around an hour, while a passenger catamaran line takes around 30 minutes to arrive at Rogac from the mainland. Rogac is a tourist village as it is the main entry point to the island for so many visitors, and so it has become home to many tourist amenities, making it a great place to stock up on essentials before heading to your villa.
Solta has a history of honey and olive oil production and today, many of the farms now offer tours for tourists to learn more about traditional island life. Visitors on an olive oil tour are able to visit the olive groves, taste a variety of olive oils and learn about local wines – a great way to learn about the history and culture of the island. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
