Guests staying at Villa Eurybia will have exclusive access to a private beach only available for residents of the complex where it is located. This home is set within beautiful landscaped gardens near the small and charming town of Polis. The area attracts tourists from all over due to its laid-back tavernas, Blue Flag beaches and craggy peninsula – a nature reserve that’s said to be the most beautiful part of the whole island.
The three double bedrooms – one of them with twin beds – are all equally spacious and stylish, and have large and bright windows throughout. All of them feature an en-suite bathroom, to preserve privacy. With Wi-Fi throughout, as well as air conditioning, the villa is truly designed for a comfortable, home-from-home stay.
The exterior is traditionally Mediterranean in style with a certain island-like touch, featuring stone walls and a sandy colour palette. Entering through the front door will lead you into a cosy and stylish living area, which is furnished with a flat screen television and ample seating for you and your guests. The interior is elegantly modern with whitewashed walls and natural-coloured furnishings, with a sober décor throughout the common spaces. The kitchen area and six-person dining area is next to this room.
From the bright living space, doors lead straight to the outdoor terrace where there’s a generously-sized garden and private swimming pool. Relax under the shaded veranda, soak in the warm Mediterranean sunshine on a sun lounger or eat your freshly-cooked barbeque food on the alfresco dining table.
When you’re not relaxing on one of the sun loungers or taking a dip in the private swimming pool, the charming Cypriot village of Argaka awaits. It’s in-between the sparkling sea and the craggy mountain slopes, and is home to welcoming tavernas, restaurants and bars, as well as a sandy beach with crystal-clear swimming waters. By day, wander along the quaint cobbled streets or relax on the sand. By night, grab your camera and snap the majestic sunset views over the Akamas Peninsula.
Located within a villa complex with access to a private residents’ beach, Villa Eurybia features a prime location. Being set within the unspoilt area of Argaka, it is only a few kilometres away from the town of Polis, in the foothills of the Troodos mountains. This charming town in north-west Cyprus lays on simple pleasures and traditional village life. Days here revolve around the soft sand and pebble beach and the square, which is bordered by shops, cafés and laid-back tavernas. Its surrounds include the beautiful Akamas peninsula – a nature reserve – that’s home to a myriad of wildlife, including birds, reptiles and turtles.
You can explore this beautiful nature reserve via buggies, quad bikes or 4X4 tours. The park contains valleys, gorges and wide sandy bays. Stop off at Lara Beach – a famous nesting spot for the green turtle. The beach is remote and is the perfect spot for swimming or relaxing on the sands.
For more family-friendly days out, the Baths of Aphrodite with its natural pool (you can swim in it) and Avaka Gorge – a popular hiking destination with a dramatic canyon are also well worth visiting. At the latter, keep an eye out for wild goats in the mountains.
If it’s more beaches you’re after, Polis also has a sweeping, crescent-shaped beach that has shallow waters that are perfect for swimming. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports like snorkelling, scuba diving and jet skiing. Just a few kilometres west is the small town of Latchi with its boat-lined harbour and restaurants serving a wide choice of food including freshly-caught fish. There’s a water sports centre and boat hire there too. From Latchi port, boats cruise the peninsula and stop at Cyprus’s famous Blue Lagoon where you can swim and relax in the amazing azure blue water.
