Villa Artistica Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
Villa Artistic is the lovingly executed long-term project of the very design and lifestyle savvy Angella brothers; the result is an impeccably finished, stylish yet ever so relaxed resort complex, enabling both an entire complicated booking including the three sub villas or simply one villa as a solo booking.
A vision borne of a love of the local region, the rich artistic heritage and an affinity with architectural and design excellence drove this project; today Villa Artistic is a unique escape from the bustle of modern living, for a little piece of secluded charm, taste and impeccable style within a rural idyll.
The spirit of authentic Puglia life is imbibed within the restoration of this home, with original Trulli (characteristic to the region of Apulia, small round stone houses with conical roofs) alongside the main building which is restored with the beautiful white local stone.
Upon entering the complex, guests will have a sense of time standing still, whilst the expertise of the architect and real estate expert brothers is apparent at every turn; the sublime taste of sympathetic, natural and authentic restoration within such a tranquil and secluded, particular hidden spot make this place a gem of a find!
Blending seamlessly into the local landscape, these three homes, set into the broader resort, bring together the very best of local craftsmanship and raw materials, retaining their perfect simplicity, with a remarkable contemporary finish.
This magical resort, so subtly executed, offers five faithfully restored Trulli, a renovated former farm building (lamia), as well as a restored tower (Saraceno). Each of these represents private, separate homes with interconnected shared spaces and mystically beautiful, extensive grounds and gardens.
The entire resort offers a sense of peace and tranquillity, along with the flawless, discreet level of immaculate design and architecture employed by the brothers to create their vision of something extraordinary: this represents a genuine escape from the bustle of the crowds, family time, time away from the pace of modern living and only the best quality culinary, cultural and aesthetic experiences!
Surrounded by fragrant plants, fruit trees and olive groves, the outdoor spaces are sublime: expansive lawns, surrounding woods, pretty and mysterious little flower-lined stone paths, and the sleek pool with its stunning poolside area furnished with sumptuous day beds, loungers and parasols.
Villa Artistica is effortlessly chic and stylish – the very epitome of natural charm and grace, without overstated opulence, it carefully imbibes its lush surroundings.
Coming together in the common areas at the end of the day offers fantastic group sociable potential; dining under the stars, enjoying the regions most excellent wines and produce will be a delightful affair; or, just for an informal breakfast after a refreshing morning swim, the dining terrace is set up for group meals in utter harmony with the environment.
The Trulli accommodate four guests across two bedrooms, while also offering a kitchen and two bathrooms.
Four Trulli in total provides the very best in traditional, yet stylish living. A new life has been breathed into these quaint; stone carved homes with their distinctive dome-shaped roofs. These cool, ancient structures protect against the sun; there is even a fireplace for that offseason cooler evenings.
These charming, unique homes offer the most understated, neutral yet sleek interiors where quality is retained through every fitting and finish: there is a beautiful kitchen, full of natural daylight, offering a peaceful and intimate environment for smaller groups or couples, while the living room overlooks the pool.
The bedrooms are tranquil, restorative spaces, where the natural stone speaks for itself; needing very little by way of decoration, the quality crisp bed linen offers a touch of luxury, and the designer flair is flawless.
The Lamia accommodates eight guests across four bedrooms and four bathrooms. This chic, subtle yet ever so tasteful home provides top class accommodation, finished with impeccable, discreet designer panache, while no compromise is made on quality.
Each bedroom is dressed with its accents of colour, or beautiful textiles and fabrics, while there is a living space with large, stone original fireplace and direct access to both courtyard and gardens.
The Saraceno can accommodate up to four guests across one bedroom and one bathroom and is also an ideal option as a romantic hideaway for a couple. This ancient tower is incredibly atmospheric, offering an intimate space, complete with fireside seating, its kitchen and private garden, so the ultimate private experience.
There is one luxurious bedroom which is so chic in its finish, with the option of another double day bed which may be suitable for children; this home benefits from its private courtyard and outdoor dining space along the peace of vibrant surrounding nature.
The shared facilities are second to none; there is a small well-equipped gym, ping pong table, table tennis as well as all the modern touches which have been covered, including television, DVD and stereo.
Villa Artistica indeed comes into its own when the garden lights cast a pleasant glow across these strikingly beautiful yet straightforward buildings in all their natural charm, with the fragrant scent of the olive grove in the air, and guests come together at the end of the day to meet for a group meal in the pergola, with views across the lawn, and a meal made using the beautiful produce from the vegetable garden, indeed taking the best of the region’s culinary, cultural and artistic heritage. Although guests will find it hard to venture outside this stunning home which has every detail covered, there is so much on offer in the region. Nature lovers will enjoy taking guided hikes through the surrounding hills and woodland, or – with the sea so close by – sailing and diving is always an option.
Villa Artistic is in the “heel” of Italy, in the very heart of Apulia with its beautiful soft light and far-reaching horizons; with the Ionian Sea on one side and the Adriatic on the other, there are miles upon miles of golden beaches. The Valle d’Itria is known as being one of the most beautiful areas of Puglia where the cities of Bari and Brindisi can easily be reached.
The region is known for its olive oil production, as evidenced by the surrounding stretches of olive groves as well as its distinctive white-washed hill towns, centuries-old farmland and hundreds of kilometres of Mediterranean coastline.
The capital Bari is a vibrant port and university town, whilst Lecce is the ‘Florence of the south’ – known for its baroque architecture and “Trulli” – stone huts with cone-shaped roofs that were initially homes; today they can be visited in their preserved form, and provide something of a fairy tale-esque experience for younger members of the group!
