Approaching Chateau Rochillac down its long, winding and tree-lined drive is like stepping into the past. The Chateau garden itself is magnificent, with 22 hectares of fields, streams and some of the rarest trees in France, and the oldest parts of the house date back to the fourteenth century.
Chateau Rochillac contains 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Each room is luxuriously decorated and adorned with fine antiques. An enormous and beautiful tapestry lines the salon and drawing room, creating a scenic and artful space, while a huge fireplace, two libraries, dining room and vast fully equipped kitchen and pantry are a delight for anyone who chooses to come and visit.
The house has been restored to a very high standard and the rooms are elegant and comfortable. This house is perfect for large groups who love entertaining as well as weddings and special events. There is a 16 metre long saltwater pool, designed to blend in with the surroundings and a large lake only one kilometre away – the latter is great as it means you can enjoy kayaking, canoeing and fishing!
Guests who enjoy cooking will be thrilled with the full vegetable, flower and herb gardens as well as the professional LaCanche stove for cooking. With so much comfort guests are generally reluctant to do the many things on offer around the Chateau, which include sightseeing, canoeing, biking, fishing, hunting, swimming and tennis – though we highly recommend you do! Given the size of the property there is a guardian on the grounds and a full time maid is available in the summer months.

Chateau Rochillac is at the centre of one an unspoilt and sparsely populated regions in France. It is covered in endless deep river gorges and valleys, ancient forests, lakes, rivers, streams and waterfalls all flowing with the Topaz coloured waters of the Correze. It really is an area where the beauty of nature is at the forefront! 
Stream, river and lake fishing, hunting, mountain biking, hiking, camping and motorcycle touring are just some of the activities that can be arranged, and if you’re less inclined to be sporty, the waterfalls, densely forested valleys, medieval castles, ancient ruins and underground caverns provide a feast of delights to see and visit.
