A roaring fire is just the thing to warm up chilly feet and create a cosy atmosphere in the evenings. With the dining table and kitchenette sharing this comfortable space, it couldn’t be easier to serve and enjoy meals. Take in stunning mountain views from the balcony as you unwind with a drink at the end of the day.
Staying at Soldanelle des Alpes means getting around the resort is quick and easy. There’s a lift close by and the nearby village centre is served by an excellent shuttle bus service. The limited amount of cars means walking around the village with the family feels relaxed and safe. By evening, you’ll find a number of restaurants to choose from for delicious meals and many bars for enjoying après ski.
Children and anyone new to skiing are well-catered for at Val Thorens, with a great beginners area in a convenient location. There are also several ski schools that teach lessons in a fun environment, with classes of varying sizes.
When you’re not skiing, you’ll want to try some of the other activities that the resort has available. These include zip-lining, snow-shoe walking, mountain biking, hiking, tobogganing and snow mobile rides. Soldanelle des Alpes is in a prime position within the resort, with skiing available from the doorstep. There’s 300km of slopes for you to enjoy, with a variety of runs to suit all levels and abilities. Easy to reach at the bottom of the resort is the beginners area. Ski schools are found across Val Thorens, with classes catering to different group sizes and levels of experience.
Just a five-minute walk from the apartment are many shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. When you’re not on the slopes, enjoy an afternoon of shopping and soaking up the relaxed atmosphere with the family. The nearest bar is only a few minutes’ walk away, so you can be sampling the resort’s lively après ski scene in no time at all. Live music often plays in many of the other bars dotted across Val Thorens also.
If you can tear yourself away from the skis, you’ll find a range of other activities on offer across the resort. Try exciting pursuits such as snow-shoe walking, hiking, mountain biking, zip-lining, tobogganing and going on snow mobile rides through the beautiful landscapes.
Only a five-minute walk away from the apartment is the fantastic sports centre (300m).
