You’ll most likely spend many of your days out and about in Nikiana as there is plenty to see and do. There is a brilliant selection of local tavernas serving up the most delectable Greek delicacies, great beach bars and a scenic harbour. There is also a range of supermarkets, butcheries and bakeries where you can purchase the authentic tastes of the island.Marina Lefkas is a scenic and romantic marina nearby the home that has been in operation since 2002. Boasting glistening sea waters brimming with gorgeous yachts, the marina is a lovely sight to gaze over at any time of the day.
The rich blue water looks stunning against the various hills, islands and mountains in the background. In the shore area, there is a shopping centre complete with restaurants, supermarkets and charming coffee shops. Come here for a pleasant dinner amongst family or a cup of local coffee enjoyed as you watch the world go by.
Desimi is a gorgeous beach boasting magnificent turquoise and blue waters in Lefkada. This beach is a mesmerising natural beauty and is often frequented for its mystical caves which are simply magical to swim under. There are also wonderful olive trees that surround Desimi and provide visitors with shelter from the sun and wind. Even with all of this natural wonder, this beach is still a quiet haven and manages to avoid crowds.
Camping is an option at Desimi and has been a tradition at the beach ever since 1973. What’s better than waking up to sunrise igniting the island and coming up above the high tree-covered cliffs?
