Whether you’re into exploring the great outdoors or relaxing on your sun lounger, three-bedroomed Tayberry Villa has you covered. Set in Sithonia, on the peninsula of Halkidiki in Greece, the villa is surrounded by lush, green grounds set beside tree-lined forests and mountains. It’s a top beach destination as well as a culture-packed getaway, offering historic sites and Blue Flag spots nearby.
If you want privacy and peace, but still want to be close to all the action, Tayberry Villa is an ideal choice. The charming stone-built villa is surrounded by a high wall and tall plants and trees, yet is only a short drive into the town with local shops and restaurants. The outdoor area is perhaps the star of the show with a shimmering swimming pool and al fresco dining terrace. You can find your prime sunbathing spot on one of the cushioned loungers or curl up with your book in the shade.
Inside, the villa is comfortably and tastefully furnished with a mixture of white and stone-exposed walls. The linen is natural coloured, and there are thoughtful homely touches like candles and lanterns for a warm feel. The main living area is open plan with a dining room and kitchen, fully equipped with all mod cons like a plasma television and oven for a hassle-free stay. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the tranquil vistas, and there are doors that lead directly onto the terrace.
The three bedrooms are all doubles, comfortably sleeping up to six guests – perfect for families, couples or small groups alike. For when you’d like to go exploring, there are quaint villages to visit and winding trails that take you through the pine-tree lined forests. Stop off at a local taverna for a traditional ice coffee or try fresh cuisine like fish mezes or moussaka. Halkidiki is also a treasury of ancient Greek archaeology too, so there are plenty of exciting things for you to see and do. Tayberry Villa is in peaceful Sithonia on the peninsula of Halkidiki in northern Greece. With over fifty Blue Flag beaches, exciting historical sites and charming traditional villages to discover, there is plenty to see and go. Halkidiki is in fact the birthplace of the famous philosopher Aristotle and is also popular for its breath-taking natural beauty including forests, mountains and sandy coves.  
Outdoor adventurers can join one of the walking, hiking or mountain biking routes and head to Mount Itamos, the highest peak on Sithonia for panoramic views over the peninsula and a fantastic bird’s eye view of Mount Athos to the east and Mount Olympus in the west. There are plenty of beautiful villages too where you’ll find local restaurants serving traditional Greek cuisine and shops selling everything from souvenirs to fresh produce. Ouranoupolis village – a short drive from the villa – has Byzantine monuments and pretty beaches.
Parthenonas, sitting pretty on the slopes of Mount Itamos and with taverns, a museum and sea views is also an excellent choice.
For relaxing afternoons spent by the coast, the villa is close to Akti Elia, a sand and pebble beach. You’ll also find plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports like sea kayaking and scuba diving. Colourful corals, blue lagoons and rocky caves are waiting to be explored. For fun day trips, you could jump on a boat trip, stopping off for snorkelling by some of the more untouched coves.
