Villa Ialyssos Greece

Luxury Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Located at the foot of Filerimos Hill, within walking distance of Ialyssos, this stunning 4-bedroom villa is just a 5-minute drive from the sea. With Rhodes city centre around 12 minutes away, Villa Ialyssos makes a great base for exploring the Old Town and beyond, and features a lovely pool terrace.
This villa has all you could need for your stay in beautiful Rhodes. The outdoor terraces encompass seating and dining areas with a barbecue, and the spacious pool is surrounded by sun loungers. You can really enjoy the reliably sunny weather in this well-appointed area, and you’ll be just a few minutes’ drive from Ialyssos Beach, a popular surfing beach with bars and restaurants close by. You can try all kinds of water-sports there or simply enjoy the incredible sunsets.
Sliding doors take you straight from the terrace into the main living area of the house, which offers a supremely stylish lounge with air-conditioning, fireplace, satellite TV and ample seating. A dining area forms part of the same open-plan space, which leads you through to the kitchen with dishwasher, oven, fridge freezer and all the things you could need. There is also another dining area on the upper terrace, providing a great place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast with views out to the sea.
Three double bedrooms are joined by one twin bedroom at Villa Ialyssos, accommodating up to eight guests. All these rooms have been elegantly furnished and are air-conditioned, and have a balcony overlooking the garden. There are also two bathrooms, one with a large shower and one with a bathtub and overhead shower.
Ialyssos’ position, just west of the capital city, Rhodes, is ideal if you want to explore the north of the island. As well as classic heritage sights like the Palace of the Grand Masters, the Acropolis of Rhodes and the Colossus of Rhodes memorial, you will be well placed for other attractions like the Valley of the Butterflies and the beaches of the isle’s eastern side – the likes of Faliraki and Afantou are little more than 20 minutes’ drive away.
If you head further south, you can experience the Seven Springs, the delights of Lindos or the spectacular Prasonisi beach. Full of beautiful countryside, the island is perfect for getting on a bike and exploring, and offers a myriad of sporting activities and outdoor attractions.
The city of Rhodes alone has enough to keep you busy for days, with its pretty harbour, historic landmarks and a commercial centre that’s great for shopping and dining.
From top to bottom, the island of Rhodes delivers some unforgettable sights and experiences. Full of idyllic countryside and a near-endless string of beaches, it’s a place to enjoy the great outdoors to the full.
The capital city of Rhodes occupies its north-eastern corner, and is one of the largest and best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. A must-visit is The Palace of the Grand Masters, a huge medieval castle, a good proportion of which is open to the public. Its eventful history included a spell as Mussolini’s holiday home – today it hosts a museum and various events and performances throughout the year.
Just down the road, you have Mandraki Port, Elli Beach and the Colossus of Rhodes memorial, while the fortified Old Town is also home to an aquarium and numerous restaurants and historic curiosities. Also look out for The Bee Museum, where there are fascinating exhibitions on bee-related themes.Down the coast from Rhodes town, you’ll find lots of family fun in Faliraki, including a well-organised beach and a big water-park. It’s one of the hottest spots on the island in the height of summer. The idyllic Anthony Quinn Bay is a very pretty beach with crystal clear waters, found to the south of the town. Particularly pleasant when it’s quiet, this small beach is also a popular snorkelling spot.
There are many more beaches down the eastern coast, such as Afantou, Archangelos, Agathi and Lindos. You’ll need to carry on right to the southern tip of the island to reach Prasonisi, but many would say it was worth the journey. This beach is popular with surfers and kite-surfers, but you don’t need to be that active to enjoy its wonderful surroundings – the laidback bars are a good place to enjoy those Aegean views.
Be sure to check out a couple of the other big outdoor attractions on the island – the Valley of the Butterflies and the Epta Piges (Seven Springs) both showcase the natural beauty of Rhodes in an unforgettable way. There are many good cycling and walking routes available around the island, if you prefer to just set out and see what happens.
Rhodes is so rich in history, you’ll find places of interest all over the island. Filerimos Hill is home to a fascinating Byzantine monastery, while Rhodes’ medieval Old Town is full of Gothic churches, mosques and all sorts of other buildings, many of which are still inhabited. With around 200 streets and alleys, it’s certainly a labyrinth, but it’s wonderful to see this intriguing old city is still so alive. Further south, the clifftop Lindos Acropolis is a notable sight – within its walls lie a medieval castle. Although the ascent to the Acropolis is steep, you won’t forget the incredible views it enjoys from its vantage point. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
