Villa Idas Blue Greece
Holiday Home Rental Description
Located in chic Ixia on the northern coast, Villa Idas Blue offers privacy and comfort to up to eight guests. A five-minute drive from Ixia Beach – and a convenient twenty minutes from the airport – this villa is set in beautiful gardens and offers great wellness facilities, including fitness equipment and a magnificent outdoor pool with reversed swimming system and hydro-massage feature.
There is even more to make you feel good at Villa Idas Blue. Beside the swimming pool, you will find an array of sun loungers and an outdoor seating area, while a large, covered dining space is just a few steps away. A barbecue and large lawns also add their charm to the outdoor area.
From the terrace lounge area, you walk straight inside to its indoor counterpart. The living room has ample seating and Smart TV, with free Wi-Fi available throughout the property. A super-spacious kitchen is another highlight, offering an American-style fridge freezer with ice dispenser, a dishwasher, coffee machine and a dining table and chairs.
This serene villa features four air-conditioned bedrooms – two doubles and two twins. Three of these rooms have an en suite bathroom with shower, and there is a fourth, separate bathroom too. You will find another bathtub in a wellness room which has an exercise bike and treadmill, as well as direct access to the terrace.
One of the most inviting spots on the island, Ixia is known for its cosmopolitan feel. Situated between Ialyssos Beach and the capital city of Rhodes, Ixia is well located. It’s little more than a five-minute drive to reach Rhodes Town, where you have outstanding historic sights like the Street of the Knights and the Palace of the Grand Masters.
Head further afield and you can visit even more of Rhodes’ best-loved attractions, such as the Valley of the Butterflies, the waterfalls of Epta Piges, and the magnificent Lindos Acropolis. Particularly close to this villa is the Filerimos Monastery, about 13 minutes away. The third-largest Greek island, Rhodes offers beautiful beaches, quaint villages and idyllic countryside. There’s so much to discover both in and beyond its enchanting, eponymous capital, which can lay claim to one of the best-preserved medieval towns in all of Europe.
The Palace of the Grand Masters, a mighty former fortress and citadel that forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, is the jewel in the capital’s crown. While only part of this vast palace is open to visitors, it’s an impressive sight – as is the nearby Street of the Knights with seven inns representing the countries of origin of the various Knights of the Order of St John.
Landmarks such as Evangelismós Cathedral, the Rhodes Acropolis and Saint Nicholas Fortress can also be found in town, along with churches, mosques and many more architecturally noteworthy buildings.
If you’re looking for nightlife, Rhodes Town, nearby Ixia and Lindos offer a good range of clubs and bars. Rhodes’ Orfanidou Street is known to some as ‘Bar Street’, such are its overwhelming options. It’s a little more sophisticated in the luxurious rooftop restaurants that look out to the Lindos Acropolis – the big historic attraction in the south of the island. The ancient ruins are situated on the clifftop and incorporate a medieval castle, but it’s the views which will blow you away.
Rhodes Town is home to the world’s first landscaped park, Rodini, providing a calmer alternative to the bustling streets of the Old Town and around the port. Mandraki Port is the place to head to if you fancy taking a cruise to another island, or taking a trip along the coast. Day trips to Lindos are just one popular option.
South of Rhodes, you have the beautiful seaside spa that is Kallithea Springs, and the busy resort of Faliraki. Good for families, it has a well-organised beach as well as a water-park and go-karting track. About 30 minutes’ drive west, the Valley of the Butterflies offers unforgettable adventures amongst nature. Want more natural beauty? Head for the waterfalls of the Epta Piges, or for more of a challenge, the rocky Koufos Canyon.
If you’re all about the beaches, you have dozens to choose from all around the island. Close to your villa are Ialyssos and Ixia, or you could head further down the west coast to Kameiros, where there is also the ancient city to explore. You’re spoilt for choice on the east coast, with Afantou, Agathi, Tsampika and the ever-popular beaches around Lindos. Prasonisi marks the island’s southernmost point – its exposed position providing just the right conditions for windsurfers and kite-surfers.At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
