Spend your days lakeside, enjoying all of the charms of Lake Garda; the glistening turquoise waters, the sun-drenched gardens and the scent of fresh lemons filling the air.
Casa di Limonaia is a stunning waterfront villa that accommodates up to 10 guests. It’s a spectacular home away from home, with traditional Italian interiors, exposed beams and tonnes of character with touches of elegance. Almost every room has a lake vista, so you are never far from the beauty that brought you to this region.
There are five bedrooms, a mix of doubles, singles, twins and bunks and it’s a great place to travel as a large group because there is a room set up for everyone. There are also four bathrooms, three with showers and one with a bath – ideal for a night of relaxation with a local wine (or to bath the children).
The living space is open plan and decorated with original and historical art pieces, giving a lovely homely feel. There’s enough space to seat the whole family, so movie nights can be done in style on the flat screen television. There’s also a library, which is ideal for a spot of relaxing inside – and there’s a stunning sight of the water, of course.
There’s a cosy kitchen, perfect for creating homemade feasts to enjoy on the water’s edge or on one of the patios. There’s everything you could need and want, including a Nespresso machine.
The outside area is a true gem, with two gardens that are the only place you will want to be. One surrounds the villa and offers a ping pong table, football nets, an outdoor eating area and a barbecue. It also has stunning views down onto the lake, with lounge chairs at the ready. The lower garden is along the water’s edge, it has a traditional limonaia garden as well as sun loungers lining the lake, so you can top up your tan and cool off in style.
This lakefront villa is located near a beautiful town that’s a bit like a fairytale getaway with winding alleys and charming views of the lake and surrounding mountains, reached within a 5-minute drive or leisurely half hour walk by the lake. It’s a short drive to other popular spots, such as Gardone Riviera (15km) and Toscolano Maderno (10km).Casa di Limonaia is located right on the western shores of Lake Garda just outside the heart of a lovely village. The village has fairytale like alleys and large beaches, there’s also a ferryboat port and marina, which is a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk away (2.5km) along the lakeside. This town has countless small and quaint local shops and restaurants, and there are even two Michelin star restaurants.
There’s plenty to do here, from exploring the impressive palace, to taking in the places of historical interest, such as the church and bell tower. This area also offers a lot of sporting activities, from sailing and windsurfing to mountain biking and horse riding.
Limone Sul Garda is just a 25-minute drive away (20km), here you can explore the historic old town. Toscolano Maderno is also nearby, just a 15-minutes away (10km). Here you can enjoy beaches, restaurants and bars, as well as a few shops for the essentials.
Just a little further along is Gardone Riviera, a 22-minute drive (15km). This tourist hot-spot has plenty to do from exploring the whimsical botanic garden of André Heller, swinging from the trees at Rimbalzello Adventure park or wandering back in time at Vittoriale Degli Italiani, the former writer’s home.
The villa is ideally located near other towns and villages around Lake Garda such as Gardone Riviera (15km), Toscolano Maderno (10km), Malcesine (48km) and Sirmione (59km).
