A visit to the 12 meters seated Buddha statue at the Wat Phra Yai Ko Fan Temple offers a compelling insight into the local religious culture; a beautiful setting with wonderful views, whilst the immense statue perches at the top of the temple and is particularly worth seeing during the morning chanting rituals.
Chaweng is known for its vibrant nightlife as well as being Koh Samui’s busiest and biggest town; it is also known for its iconic beach. From cocktail bars to world-class restaurants, the famous Green Mango strip is 3 kilometres long, offering eclectic, colourful local life in abundance. 
The Fisherman’s Village in Bophut is located in a historic corner of the island, with rustic-style buildings with boutique shops and trendy restaurants.
