Spacious, contemporary and upmarket, Casa Dores is an utterly unique creation of traditional and tribal décor and modern comfort, nestled in the quiet residential neighbourhood of Cascais on the Portuguese coast.
The living room is utterly sublime, with tons of comfortable seating in front of the TV and fireplace, elegant décor and large bay windows that open directly on to the outdoors so that this spacious room, and the warm and welcoming dining room, are flooded with natural light. A breakfast bar bridges the divide between here and the kitchen, which has wonderful marble-effect décor throughout, and an incredible modern design, with a huge central island providing enormous amounts of space for creating quite the feast! The dining room is ideally designed for enjoying a meal in a casual environment, with large patio doors inviting in the scents and sounds of the fabulous garden. An enchanting blend of modern sophistication and earthy textures creates a warm, charming and totally sleek interior which makes the most of this peaceful setting. Finally, there is a fantastically well-equipped children’s room with all the toys and play-things they could dream of!
There are five ornate bedrooms in total, accommodating up to 12 people! Each of the rooms is intricately designed, with natural textures of wood and stone set against soft greys and blues. The first room, the master-suite, features a gigantic bed in a magnificent setting, with a colourful theme of tribal patterns, a seating area in front of the TV and two separate garden entrances! The room is accompanied by a large marble bathroom with an enormous free-standing bath tub, double vanity sinks and garden access! The remaining four rooms all enjoy incredible double beds and cosy décor, and all three other bathrooms have the same regal style and incredible facilities.
Out in your wonderful, large landscaped garden, complete with both a swimming pool and astonishing Jacuzzi built into the terrace, and perfectly sheltered by pine trees for ideal calm and privacy, you have all the space and facilities you could wish for to settle in for a day of relaxation, pampering and socialising! A set of stepping stones stretches across the pool to the wonderful lawn, lined with loungers for all your sun-bathing needs! Gather the group around the pool in this perfect sun-drenched location or get together in the fantastic summer lounge to make some special memories, ideal for all occasions!
Finally, the enormous pergola with a dining table is the ultimate stylish spot for a little alfresco dining.
Less than 10 minutes away from the port of Cascais, and only 30 minutes from Lisbon, this is the ideal spot for explorers. Cascais is a coastal resort town, just a little west of Lisbon, which is known for its sandy beaches and charming marina. Just a short walk away, the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park is a magnificent picturesque spot for a hike or cycle, with 145 km² of rocky coastline and inland forests. It is the westernmost point of the European continent, where ‘the land ends and the sea begins’, with 100m cliffs creating spectacular landscapes and stunning beach coves!

Portugal itself is a small, fascinating country at the most Western point of mainland Europe. With a vast coastline with the powerful Atlantic Ocean, Portugal is a true paradise for the keen surfer, or indeed even those looking to try it for the first time. And for those less keen on surfing, the beaches of Portugal are still well worth a visit for their beautifully clear waters and beautiful sands.
