The traditional Villa Denari sleeps up to twelve guests in five bedrooms in a peaceful residential area, just 6.5 km from the beautiful Fonte da Telha Beach on the beautiful Lisbon Coast. With wonderful outside space boasting a swimming pool, a large garden and an alfresco dining terrace, Villa Denari is a great choice for a crowd. The villa is located in Verdizela, a tranquil residential area with tennis courts, football, basketball, a gym, an activity centre and playground for children plus a good selection of shops, all within walking distance of the villa.
The stunning Costa da Caparica coastline extends along the western edge of the Sebetal Peninsula for 30km. It is famed for its vast sandy beaches, powerful surfing seas and spectacular natural scenery. There are dozens of beaches on a long strip of glistening white sand so if you want to party, sunbathe in peace, surf the pounding waves or strip down to your birthday suit, there is definitely a beach for you! Fonte da Telha is roughly 10km down and boasts spectacular cliffs topped with pine and eucalyptus trees. There are championship golf courses close by and you can also explore the vibrant gem of a capital city, Lisbon very easily.
The ground floor of Villa Denari is home to a large, traditional, fully equipped kitchen with everything that you would wish for, a spacious, comfortable living and dining room and three of the villa’s five bedrooms. The master bedroom suite enjoys a double bed, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with a bath. There is another double bedroom and a twin downstairs too, both bright and airy. These two bedrooms share a family bathroom.
Upstairs, you will discover two spacious twin rooms plus two single beds on the enormous mezzanine together with another family bathroom. The styling thoughout is very minimalist and simple.
Villa Denari enjoys a huge garden which gives children plenty of space to play, a lovely 8m x 4m swimming pool with sun loungers, a barbecue and a delightful alfresco dining terrace. The whole garden is surrounded by lush greenery, making it very private and secluded. There is parking for three cars. Villa Denari enjoys a secluded, tranquil setting, just 6.5 km from the sensational Fonte da Telha Beach. The villa is located just 25km from the centre of Lisbon and 40km from Sebutal.
Golf fans will be delighted that the Aroeira Golf Resort is nearby. Surrounded by majestic, fragrant pine trees and stunning blue lakes, Aroeira Golf Resort boasts two courses, the Aroeira Pine Classic and the Aroeira Challenge, designed by some of Europe’s greatest architects. They have played host to a number of European Tour events including the Portuguese Open surrounded by beautiful scenery on the Costa Azul. There are some good facilities in the resort including a clubhouse which overlooks the Aroeira Pines Classic course, four tennis courts, golf practice facilities, a large outdoor swimming pool and a shop. Golf professionals are available to help you improve your game. The resort is very peaceful and offers a concierge service and full security.
Villa Denari enjoys easy access to a wonderful 30km stretch of fine white sand with the nearest beach being 5 km from the villa. The northern beaches close to the village of Costa da Caparica are very lively with a fantastic range of watersports whilst some in the south are wilder and almost deserted. There is a wonderful range to choose from and a good selection of restaurants serving delicious fresh fish. Many of the bars and restaurants boast beautiful waterside terraces where you can enjoy gorgeous sunsets and some offer live music in the evenings. Some of the southern beaches can only be reached by car or the summer mini-train. The mini train runs beside the ocean and makes 19 stops, each at a different beach. The lower third of the coastline is within the Arriba Fossil da Costa Nature Reserve so the beautiful, natural beaches are protected. The Fonte da Telha Beach is flanked by a continous stretch of golden cliffs, topped with pine and eucalyptus trees. It is famous for its healing clay muds so don’t be surprised if you see people covering themselves in mud. Praia 19, just north of Fonte da Telha, is the top gay beach in the Lisbon area. The beaches are popular for surfing though if you are seeking massive rollers, you should head to the the Praia de Guincho on the Sintra coastline.
The vibrant, cosmopolitan capital of Lisbon is can be reached quickly by car, bus or by ferry from Cacilhas to Cais do Sodre. Lisbon effortlessly blends rich traditional heritage with striking modernism. It boasts a buzzing nightlife and is blessed with a glorious year-round climate. The Time Out Market is popular for a food and drink stop and the beautiful Mercado da Ribeira building enjoys pop-up restaurants. The districts of Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama and Avenida da Liberdale are all close to the main sights and attractions. The Belem district is a must see with its famous Pasteis de Belem pastry shop, the 16th century Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Belem Palace and the tropical botanical gardens. The Berado Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Belem Cultural Centre is also worth a visit. You can take a short train ride to visit Cascais or other beach resorts.
The delightful Setubal offers a picturesque, colourful harbour and a very pretty waterfront. Its Manueline monastery, beautiful ancient churches, acclaimed market and its interesting museums are always busy with tourists. Sebutal is at the heart of the Portuguese sardine industry and also famed for its delicious, sweet and globally acclaimed moscatel wine. You must try them!
The enchanting city of Sesimbra is very Portuguese, retaining its original character and heritage. It is famous for its freshly cooked seafood and its breathtaking coastline. The fish markets are amazing events and the family run Marisqueira restaurants are atmospheric and very friendly. There are wonderful, panoramic views from the battlements of the Castelo de Sesimbra of the stunning beach which extends around the entire Sesimbra bay . You can explore the wonderful coastline by kayak, boat tour or dolphin watch tour. The Cabo Espichel, a wild and exposed cliff headland, boasts incredible views, a unique church, lighthouse and two sets of dinosaur footprints.
