Sloane Place United Kingdom
Holiday Home Rental Description
Sloane Place is a handsome townhouse, offering impeccably styled accommodation, nestled in one of the most elegant parts of the capital, between the cobbled backstreets of Chelsea and the opulent and glittering Knightsbridge.
This sumptuous home is executed with timeless and classical style: a muted palette, quality timber furnishings and plush fabrics, blending together to create a tone of discreet luxury.
The living space is sedate; a refined room of solid wood flooring, oil paintings and tweed style fabrics, offering a light design touch – understated elegance is the tone of this home.
There is both a television area, with cosy sofas and upholstery, as well as a “drawing room” portion of the living area – resplendent with ornate fireplace, gilded picture frames, and classically handsome interiors. The neutral, cream-based palette provides an airy feel, whilst guests have the sense of an inviting family home without the owner’s presence being overpowering. Every inch the chic, quintessentially English drawing room, this space is all set with porcelain tea-set for a very civilised afternoon tea!
The kitchen is a bijou affair! Charming, finished in the palest, powdery blue, it offers top-range appliances, charming retro features and abundant natural light. An open plan dining room offers a sumptuous, sky-lit space and white-washed, Scandinavian style dining set-up.
Sloane Place offers a tranquil and unobtrusive aesthetic, wonderfully airy and bright. This home can accommodate six to eight guests across four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The bedrooms are striking in their simplicity: all the hallmarks of quality are present – crisp Egyptian cotton, solid and antique furnishings and glamorous marble bathrooms. The chic, soft palest of jade greens, slate greys and pretty florals offer these spaces a characterful home-like appeal. High ceilings, dormer windows and original features give this home its rather imperial dignity.
There are two bedrooms with bunk beds, complete with toys and books, as well as a children’s bathroom with world atlas wall art. The pièce de resistance is the sleek and uber modern balcony featuring an impressive glass floor; this is the archetypal city-style creative take on outdoor space, ideal for guests to enjoy a drink at the end of a busy day in the capital.
Sloane Place is a distinguished home, immaculately executed and finessed with subtle luxury and understated design, whilst offering guests a “home-from-home” experience nestled in one of the most vibrant parts of West London.Hasker Street is a prestigious, one-way street of smart Georgian homes, wrought iron railings and well-heeled apartments, within walking distance of Sloane Square, Knightsbridge and South Kensington.
The Kings Road, Sloane Square and Chelsea are just a stroll away, whilst this home has the benefit of bordering some of the most exclusive parts of London.
In the summer, one of London’s hidden gems is the Chelsea Physic Garden; London’s oldest botanical garden with cafe and gift shop is an enchanting walled English country home style garden, which is home to around five thousand medicinal plants, a butterfly house and utterly glorious afternoon teas.
Nestled between Knightsbridge and South Kensington, whether it be museums or shopping, visitors have it all!
Iconic department store, Harrods, is just around the corner, and residents are an eclectic and international mix.
Knightsbridge offers proximity for visitors to access some of the main attractions that the capital offers; Notting Hill and Hyde Park are just a short distance away, whilst a walk through Kensington Palace Gardens and a pit-stop to refuel at The Orangery is about as civilised at it gets!
The museums of South Kensington are just a short bus or taxi ride away, whilst Sloane Street is one of the most exclusive, designer shopping streets in London. Beauchamp Place or Walton Street offer smaller, independent brands and indulgent cafes and restaurants, whilst the majestic Belgravia is a walk away.
Belgravia’s sweeping colonnades and grand Victorian terraces have made it one of the capital’s most exclusive areas; from upscale shopping, expansive squares and historical cobbled streets and Victorian pubs, this neighbourhood blends history with trendy new boutiques and restaurants.
Elizabeth Street is a charming spot, offering cupcake stores and flower lined street cafes, leading to the elegant Pimlico Square. The Orange pub draws in a young, hip crowd, whilst the beautiful Battersea Park is just a stroll over the bridge.
