Sleeping up to eight guests, this contemporary dwelling will wow guests with its sleek exterior, and beautiful high-end design features within. On the remaining levels, which can be accessed by a lift, you will find four elegant double bedrooms, all of which continue the stylish design evident in all areas of this elegant villa. Guests will enjoy beautiful en-suite bathrooms as well as glass doors out onto a balcony, terrace or the pretty garden area, welcoming stunning sea or mountain views. There is also a gym-games room on the upper level, where you can keep up with your fitness routine while you gaze out over the Atlantic.  The exterior space here at Casa Cedra is a tranquil oasis set over two levels, providing guests with an idyllic spot in which to relax in the year-round Madeiran sun. As you step out from the villa an enticing infinity pool awaits, and with stylish seating as well as a dining area, eating al fresco is a must here, enjoying local delicacy’s cooked on the barbecue. Surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna you can walk down the steps to a charming garden area, where you can appreciate more of those awe-inspiring sea views. Situated just moments from the small coastal village of Garajau in the region of Caniço, famed for the imposing Cristo Rei Statue that gazes out across the Atlantic, Casa Cedra is perfectly located to enjoy the many local bars, shops and restaurants, as well as fantastic activities such as diving, golf and hiking, that are right on your doorstep.
Take a bracing walk along the Ponta do Garajau headland, which boasts spectacular views of the Desertas Islands on a clear day. And nestled at the base of the Garajau cliffs, just a few minutes-walk from the villa, and accessed by cable car, you can enjoy a quiet little bay located within the Garajau Natural Partial Reserve, which thanks to its extraordinary biological richness and its crystal blue waters, offers unparalleled conditions for snorkelling and diving.  
For a wonderful golden sandy beach (imported from Morocco), head 15km east to Machico, where you’ll enjoy fantastic swimming and sunbathing opportunities. Situated in Santa Cruz, you’re also in prime position to take advantage of the beautiful surrounding pine landscapes. And with a stunning backdrop of orange houses nestled in green rolling hills, with the largest mountain on the island Pico Ruivo, inviting you to climb its peaks, you’ll love its scenic beauty. Santa Cruz is also home to many wonderful 16th century monuments as well as some delicious fine dining restaurants.
The Island’s capital Funchal is just 15km west, where you’ll love to amble along its seafront promenade enjoying a drink in one of its many beachfront bars. From here take the cable car to Monte, where you can visit the world-renowned Monte Palace Tropical Garden. And to get back to the Old Town from Monte don’t miss sliding down the steep hill on a traditional wicker toboggan! Once in the old town, be sure to visit some of the fabulous restaurants serving mouth-watering skewered meats, alongside exquisite tapas and heavenly desserts such as honey cake and passion fruit pudding. Football fans will also enjoy a visit to a museum in honour of Madeira’s best loved son Cristiano Ronaldo here.
There are a wide range of activities on offer on the Island, from a quiet round of golf just 2km from the villa, to exhilarating 4×4 excursions across the Island, but one of the most breath-taking has to be a glorious hike along some of the 2,092 kilometres of narrow stone irrigation channels known as levadas, criss-crossing Madeira’s lush mountainous countryside into the Laurisilva forest. One of the most scenic is the Levada do Caldeirao Verde, which meanders four miles past leafy glades and plunging ocean views before emerging into a picturesque clearing sprinkled by a 91-meter waterfall. Just spectacular! And for the adrenaline junkies amongst you, try your hand at the many mountain-bike trails that plunge and ascend this beautiful landscape, or throw yourself into some canyoning, which will have you sliding over cascades and abseiling down waterfalls.
For the more serene, a wine tasting tour is a must. Head to Camara de Lobos, a lovely traditional fishing village 18km west for a free Madeira wine tasting experience at local producer Henriques & Henriques. Or perhaps the black lava bathing pools of Porto Moniz, 58km north, will provide the perfect day trip, where the meeting of Atlantic waves and a prehistoric volcanic eruption has formed spiky rings of black lava rock along the waterfront turning it into one of the world’s weirdest and most beautiful swimming baths.
