Casa Sibella Montenegro

Luxury Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

A striking villa with a hint of grandeur, the beautiful Casa Sibella occupies a prime spot overlooking Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor. This four-bedroom property provides access to its own private beach with breath-taking views of the bay, and features its own outdoor hot tub.
The villa is set in spacious grounds with lawn areas and terraces looking out on the Bay of Kotor. There is plenty of outdoor furniture including sun loungers, large circular day beds and an elegant covered dining space, the arches of which frame the bay perfectly. The tempting hot tub is certainly the place to end the evening looking up at the stars.
The house is furnished and decorate with a touch of opulence, yet remains homely and comfortable. You have two large living areas on the second and third floors, with chandelier lighting, glass-fronted cabinets and plush sofas. The grand indoor dining areas are ideal for a special occasion dinner, and multiple kitchens will give everyone enough space to prepare dinner – there’s one on each of the three floors.
Casa Sibella includes four elegantly appointed bedrooms – think ornate mirrors, dressing tables and a chaise longue or two. Most enjoy the use of balconies too, which give you a stunning view of the bay to wake up to. There is even a viewing deck with stool seating for the same purpose.
Also offering three bathrooms, Casa Sibella is an immaculate villa from which to explore this beautiful region. It’s easily accessible from Tivat Airport and the city of Kotor, the Old Town of which provides a great sightseeing destination. Boat trips from the Bay of Kotor offer the opportunity to see the famous Blue Cave, while views from St John’s Fortress are more than worth the small fee charged to climb your way to the very top.Excellence Luxury Villas Tips…
The fortified old town of Kotor is one of Montenegro’s must-sees. An eternally beautiful town, full of pretty little squares and jumbled, narrow streets, it is everything you would want it to be. Sitting on the Bay of Kotor, its position is equally spectacular – flanked by rugged mountains and the River Skurda, Kotor has all the attributes of an adventure holiday destination too. Canyoning down the river is one such pursuit you could try.
A wander around the Old Town is the best way to get acquainted with Kotor. Its fortified walls are still very much intact, and form a triangle with a gate at each corner. Climbing the town walls is a worthwhile endeavour, which you will see many visitors attempting. If you think the views at ground level are stunning, wait until you reach the summit, some 260m above sea level.
The buildings around the city are impressively well preserved, with a number of pretty churches, some dating back more than 800 years. The town also has a few museums that you may like to visit. The largest is the Maritime Museum, but the cutest and quirkiest is surely the Cat Museum. Kotor is known for its street cats, hence the presence of a museum celebrating all things feline. Your visit will be in a good cause too, with the nominal entry charge used to help care for the local cats.
You will find plenty of nice places to eat around Kotor, and various gift shops. Other popular visitor attractions include the village of Perast, around 30 minutes away, from where you can take a boat trip across the bay to Our Lady of the Rock Island. The village itself is also very charming.
The magnificent national park, Lovcen, lies not too far beyond Kotor, although the intricate route to reach it may take the best part of an hour. It’s well worth the trouble – there are few better places to truly appreciate the scale of Montenegro’s natural beauty. Those seeking beach life may like to make the 35-minute trip to Budva, the country’s top coastal resort. With water-parks, nightclubs and the like, it takes care of the kind of entertainment you will find less of in Kotor. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
