Villa Krstac Montenegro

Resort Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Villa Krstac boasts views of lush green forestry, brooding mountains and sweeping panoramas of where the sky meets the shimmering sea. Built from stonework exteriors that pay homage to ancient Montenegrin architecture, the villa is balanced with fresh and modern interiors. There’s a terracotta roof and a spacious balcony along the front of the property from which the stunning views can be admired.
The enormous swimming pool has enough space for the whole family to swim in peace and cool off from the Mediterranean sunshine. There are plenty of sunbeds to curl up with a good book and relax here. The pool is bordered by characterful stone walls and beyond this, a luscious garden encompasses lots of trees and a fragrant olive grove.
The four bedrooms sleep up to nine guests and are decorated in warm wood and shades of terracotta. All have comfortable double beds with crisp white linen and orange bedding, a dressing table and ensuite bathrooms. Semi sheer drapes frame floor to ceiling windows that ensure the bedrooms are bathed in light. The bedrooms are designed to evoke a sense of calm and tranquility. En-suite bathrooms have smart shower cubicles and tiled floors, as well as mirrors and elegant curved sinks.
Moving through into the living room, the eclectic design combines a range of simple colours and textures. Within this is a mixture of cream leather sofas with varnished wooden frames and a patterned delightful carpet and interesting lamps. Contemporary art hangs on the wall, while plants help to bring a little of the Montenegrin countryside in.
This villa is within a complex of seven villas and six apartments, with plenty of privacy but the opportunity to socialise with other families. Across the complex, there is access to three other pools, a gym, sauna and a tennis court.
There is also a restaurant on site, or you can utilise the fully equipped kitchen to serve up your own family feasts. Decorated all in white, with a breakfast bar and a hole in the wall that links the kitchen to the dining area and living room, this is open plan living at its best. The kitchen has a coffee machine, dishwasher and microwave for guest use.
Six people can dine around the table, and there’s even a wine rack! Alternatively, you can also dine alfresco on the spacious terrace and take advantage of the breathtaking views. At night, the villa is illuminated by ambient lighting. Excellence Luxury Villas Tips…
The setting of this villa couldn’t be more magical, nestled in peaceful Krstac within the Montenegrin countryside on the Budva Riviera.
Budva is the most popular town for visitors to Montenegro. With its imposing stone Venetian walls that once protected the city from intruders and its cosmopolitan cafes and nightlife, Budva is an atmospheric and lively place to spend time. The Old Town – also known as the Stari Grad – is charming and compact, easily walkable and full of cute cafes and lovely restaurants. Sample some Montenegrin classics such as Punjene Paprike – stuffed peppers, or Gulaš – a hearty stew served with mashed potato.
A great day trip is a visit to the nearby island of Sveti Nikola, which used to be connected to the mainland by a sandbar. Named after a Saint, this island is uninhabited by humans yet home to many species of wildlife, including rare flowers and animals like deer and rabbits. Thick forestry covers large swathes of the island, adding mystique and charm.
Along the stunning Budva Riviera, there are 17 named beaches that hug the coastline from Jaz to Buljarica. Some great choices for a beach day include Pržno, which has sandy and rocky stretches along the same beach. Just in front of the town of the same name, the area is famous for a fragrant olive grove and for its epic sunsets. Kamenovo beach has crystalline turquoise waters and powdery sand. Mogren beach is the closest to the Old Town. Stop at a seaside cafe for some fresh seafood and a glass of local wine.
Delicately cradled on a peninsula, there’s an ancient seaside citadel in a prominent part of the medieval Old Town. Here, you’ll find historic churches such as St. John the Baptist, which has parts dating back to the 9th century and Holy Trinity, comprised of beautiful pink and honey coloured stone. There are also four monasteries called Stanjevići, Podmaine, Reževići and Gradiste.
There are a myriad of scenic hiking trails around the local area, including the Seven Bay Trail, with dramatic sweeping landscapes from Buvan to Sveti Stefan, a luxury resort. Take in several of the region’s most beautiful beaches along the way. Another impressive and challenging hike is the Buvan to Majstori trail, which climbs over 3000m in elevation over the sea and its coastline, dotted with tiny local villages.
Another great choice for a day trip is enchanting Boka Bay. Encircled by mountains, the bay is also known as the ‘Bride of the Adriatic’ and is a one of a kind geological formation similar to a Scandinavian fjord. A riot of colourful flowers bloom every spring around the jagged coastline, and the bay is dotted with tiny medieval villages, looming cliffs and with bright blue inlets. There are plenty of boat trips you can take to neighbouring bays such as Kotor and Cetinje, or even as far as Dubrovnik in Croatia. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
