Emerald Reverie Morocco

Townhouse/Apartment
|1 Bedroom|

Rental Description

A large welcoming cedar door opens from a quiet Medina side street into this wonderful Riad. This former fortress has been lovingly renovated, retaining its traditional Moorish and Oriental architecture and lavishly updated in its interior with stylish design features and exquisite decorative touches.  Just five minutes from the vibrancy of Jemaâ El Fna Square, you will be ideally located to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Medina, yet once behind closed doors, you can relax in sumptuous bliss.
Emerald Reverie is an inviting retreat you’ll love to return to after a long day exploring the city. With its pale Georgian green tones, high ceilings and beautifully detailed design elements such as the exquisitely engraved plasterwork, you’ll love the unique relaxed feel to this room. Bold traditional Moroccan furniture and delicate antique ornaments fill the room, whilst beautiful silk furnishings adorn the luxurious double bed and soft lighting illuminates the room from Syrian hanging lamps. Situated next to the delightful courtyard, where palm trees are wrapped in lavish bougainvillaea and a rose-filled fountain await, you’ll enjoy the Jasmin-infused breeze that floats through the cedar doors and the delicate birdsong that accompanies your morning coffee.
The room boasts a fantastic en-suite, where the walls are lavished with polished tadelakt and dual pure copper basins and handmade brass lights exude a seductive Oriental ambience. Be sure to enjoy the Grecian-columned bath, filled with rose petals for the ultimate indulgent experience.
The Riad can provide many unique experiences to suit any taste. Romantics will love to enjoy a delicious candlelit three-course dinner on the splendid rooftop terrace, where the distant call to prayer of the muezzin and the breath-taking view of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains will no doubt enchant. For the culinary enthusiast, join their talented cook to source fresh seasonal ingredients in the Medina, before returning to create a Moroccan feast. And for those looking to find their zen, book in a class with their fantastic yoga instructor. Excursions can be booked if you’re looking to go further afield or a personal guide can help you explore the local area. Whatever your whim, you will be catered for spectacularly here.

Royal Suite or you can make an enquiry to book the whole RiadSituated just five minutes from Jemaâ El Fna Square, this beautiful Riad can be found down a quiet side street within the vibrant Medina. Once within the large cedar doors of the Riad, the heady sights and smells of the intoxicating labyrinth are left far behind, enabling you to relax in its sumptuous surroundings.
At the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains, the unique and spiritual city of Marrakesh boasts huge historical significance, having stood for almost a thousand years. Where sandstone buildings, dusty streets and towering minarets juxtapose deep blue skies. Referred to as The Red City thanks to the hue of the thick walls surrounding the old city, Marrakesh is a delicious assault of the senses, and never more so than in the infamous souks.
Here you’ll find stall after stall offering exotic goods, and traditional arts being expertly showcased, from tanners working on their fabulous wares, filling the air with the scent of hides tanning in the Moroccan sun, to the ironmongery of precious metals into beautiful pieces. To escape the sun, delve into one of the many beautiful Riads for exotic salads and sweet treats, like La Mamounia with its beautiful abundance of orange groves and olive trees. Or head to one of the many beautiful gardens like Le Jardin Secret, one of the Medina’s largest and most important, set out in the shell of a 19th-century palace.
For an experience like no other, Jemaâ El Fna, the busiest square in the whole of Africa, is a must-see. Gnawa musicians, belly dancers, and fire-eaters entertain while mystic snake charmers and enigmatic storytellers entrance their crowd. Enjoy exotic barbequed delicacies on long trestle tables as you soak up the atmosphere before taking a horse-drawn carriage to explore the rest of the medina.
For something a little more relaxing, pamper yourself in one of the many hammams in the city, a traditional spa where you’ll emerge glowing after a thoroughly luxuriant experience. Or perhaps visit the architectural splendour that is Bahia Palace, with its fascinating museum and enchanting gardens. And for the ultimate in romance, enjoy a bottle of champagne as you watch the glorious sunset or the beautiful dawn over Marrakech floating in a hot-air balloon.
To escape the intensity of the city there are plenty of excursions that make for a fantastic day out. Take a quad bike tour through the exotic palm groves, or for the more adventurous become Bedouins and trek across the stunning Sahara by camel with a crew of Berber guides or head to the Atlas Mountains for spectacular hiking trails.
