Alfresco dining or a chef-prepared meal will be a pleasure, in the gracious confines of the veranda or a poolside drink for a note of pure indulgence as the sun softens over the swaying palms and the pool is majestically lit.
Sophisticated interiors offer slick monochromes, glossy marbles and ethnic artefacts in palatial proportions, with dashes of character and individual Arabic-meets-eclectic design. The living space showcases pure understated glamour, with steely greys, charcoals and dashes of crimson, offset by Scandi touches and light timbers. Open plan living, organically segregated into separate spaces, in keeping with the authentic local style.

One hundred years old, Marrakesh is the fourth largest city in Morocco, and is the most visited city, within Africa’s most visited country. With a magical and mysterious blend of East and West, winding ancient medina streets sweet with the smell of spices, to open plazas with street entertainers, snake charmers, hot food stalls and hand-crafted wares in the souks, it is an unforgettable destination.
Take in one of the many souks scattered across the Medina; like a glimmering series of Aladdin’s caves, they offer beautifully crafted shoes, necklaces and traditional dress against stalls mounted with spices, fruit and sweets.
When the intensity and sometimes overbearing exoticism of the city becomes too much, escaping to the of the city’s luscious gardens or palaces will offer some respite. The Jardin Marjorelle is a serene oasis of exotic plants and tranquillity, away from the crowds; it is set in the grounds of the home of designer Yves Saint Laurent and is known for its incredible colours and cacti.
The open plaza at Jemaa el Fna is at the heart of the city; it offers a bustling blend of street entertainers from acrobats to drummers, pipe musicians, dancers, storytellers, comedians and fairground acts.
Among the city’s main architectural attractions is the ruin of the El Badi Palace, the delicate carving of the Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Minaret, an ideal example of an Islamic monument.
