Chateau de Macque is a fabulous property located along the very quiet and wooded valley of the Grivette river. The area is mostly devoted to agriculture and there are many big farms dotted around the countryside.
The castle was originally a hunting lodge. The property is surrounded by a large garden with a majestic iron entrance gate. The grounds also include a private wood; home to a variety of wildlife that can be observed directly from the castle windows.
The beautiful Chateau de Macque was originally designed in the“Directoire” architectural style and it is very large and airy – a perfect place to enjoy a memorable holiday with family or friends.The castle is situated in the north-east region of Paris, in theOise department.
It is very easily accessible:Paris is 55 km away or 40 mins by carRoissy CDG airport and Roissy TGV station are 25 mins away.Roisy CDG airport is also reachable by public bus.
The closest town is Crepy en Valois. It is 7 mins away by car and is a very charming little town with many shops, restaurants and historical monuments.
The Regional railway station in Crepy en Valois takes you directly to Paris Gare du Nord station in 35 mins.
Main attractions:- Paris: can be visited during the day.- Eurodisney: 40mns by car.- Asterix attraction park: 30mns- Historical towns to be visited at 30mn: Senlis and Compiegne.- There are many castles in the area to visit: Chantilly castle, Compiegne royal castle, Fontaine-Chaalis abaye etc.- Epernay and the cellars of Champagne: 1h 15mns.
