Your own private plunge pool offers a stunning ocean view and is accompanied by a secluded terrace with seating area, day bed and sun loungers.
Inside, the villa features a central, open-plan living space which combines the bedroom and lounge into one attractive area. There is a large and comfy double bed, a seating area with sofa, armchair and coffee table, and a small dining table and chairs.
The property is equipped with air-conditioning and a TV, as well as a safe, minibar, telephone and complimentary Wi-Fi. Just off the main area is the elegant bathroom which feels as relaxing as the spa itself, with bathrobes, towels and high-quality toiletries provided. The large, walk-through rain-shower is certainly one to look forward to.
There is much to explore on Koh Samui – as a relatively large island, it has plenty of entertainment as well as some excellent dining and shopping. The island’s main attraction, the huge Big Buddha is only a 10-minute drive from the villa and certainly an inspiring sight. Elsewhere, you can expect some stunning beaches, exciting nightlife and activities ranging from Jeep safaris to golf, go-karting and Thai cooking classes – because Koh Samui really does have a bit of everything.The largest island of around 80 on the Chumphon Archipelago, Koh Samui is the natural choice for a holiday, whether you want it totally relaxing or action-packed. The many beaches around the island certainly take care of the former, while the latter can take the form of snorkelling, zip-lining or Jeep safari tours.
The quietest beaches tend to be found away from the large towns on the southern or eastern coast. Those in the larger centres, however, may be better equipped for sporting activities or with family-friendly play areas. One of the most popular beaches is found in Chaweng, the island’s biggest town. It’s also where you will find Koh Samui’s best, or certainly most full-on, nightlife. Check out the strip on Soi Green Mango to get a feel for things – you will find all kinds of clubs, street food and the obligatory Irish bar.
For fine dining, Koh Samui has some impressive restaurants – the unique dining experience at Tree Tops in Anantara Lawana, north of Chaweng is one. Each of its eight tables is an individual treehouse. The views stretch as far as Phuket at Tung Ka Café, while Chaweng’s Ark Bar serves up a good menu right on the beach.
To the north, the aptly named Big Buddha is 12 metres high and a must-see, while the natural beauty of the island is just as impressive. The Namuang Waterfall, notable for the purple rocks it cascades down, is one example, while the Ang Thong National Marine Park is as idyllic as it gets – consisting of 42 islands noted for their mountains, hidden coves and wonderful white sands.At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
