Villa Kandella sits nestled between centuries old mountains and olive trees in a truly romantic and tranquil setting. The house is over 300 years old and has been lovingly restored creating a clever balance of character and traditional style with modern touches.Spread over two floors, the villa is furnished in a rustic style throughout, in keeping with the charm of this old house. As you move around the villa there are enchanting stone walls, exposed beams and terracotta floors making for a warm and welcoming ambiance. Some traditional wooden doors give us access to the house, welcoming you to a large dining room perfect for entertaining. A few steps connect you to a small lounge, behind which is the kitchen, fully equipped for your use. There is a further living room, featuring stone walls and a fireplace, this is the ideal spot for curling up and reading your book, or spending some time together in the evenings. A wooden staircase gives access to the master bedroom and en-suite bathroom, this room has a relaxed, homely feel to it, with wooden floor boards and beautiful views of the mountains. A separate staircase leads to the further three double bedrooms which all share a family bathroom. The outdoor area of this property is something special, in a sheltered, private location you can spend your time lounging by the desirable private swimming pool, read your books or dine al-fresco whilst watching the sun set over the mountains. The façade of this villa is so unique and picturesque; it is hard to leave! Nearby the town of Pollensa will spoil you with restaurants and shops so you can have your fill of local produce. The Pollensa Golf Club is also only a short distance away, so this is an ideal property for golf lovers.
Pollensa has everything you need for a wonderful holiday, situated inland from some of Spain’s finest sand beaches. The town itself centres around beautiful cobbled streets leading to a traditional church. Wander the streets that lead to the church to discover traditional outlets selling a range of foods, arts and crafts as well as cafes, restaurants and bars. The highlight of the week is the authentic and traditional market that occurs every Sunday morning. Get there early to secure the freshest fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.
The Calvari steps provide the best view of the local area, but be warned that to get to the top you have to climb 365 of them.
