The charming village centre of Les Gets is around 10 minutes away on foot.
Also close by is the chairlift that takes you up to the huge linked Portes du Soleil ski area. Visit famous Morzine with its mix of high and low slopes and après ski spots. It’s an especially great resort for children as it has several ski schools and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.

A 10-minute walk will bring you to Les Gets village centre. The characterful village has a selection of bars and restaurants for enjoying après ski, along with shops, a ski school meeting point and ski hire shops. A mix of traditional Savoyard chalets and modern buildings make the village a lovely place to stroll around, with a friendly atmosphere wherever you go.
The skiing in Les Gets is perfect for beginners and intermediates, with a choice of gentle slopes. Easy to reach from the chalet is the chairlift located by the main Chavannes ski slopes. And just opposite Chavannes is the smaller Mont Chéry area with its challenging black run.
There’s much to enjoy off the slopes in Les Gets too, with a weekly market to browse and an outdoor ice rink. Younger children will also love the mini train shuttle around the village. Other outdoor activities at Les Gets include dog-sled rides, snow-shoeing and paragliding.
The wider Portes du Soleil linked ski area can be reached via the fast, effective lift system. Morzine is a particularly popular area as it has slopes for all ability levels. It’s also famous for its après ski scene.
Around a 15-minute drive away is the centre of Morzine itself. The Parc des Dérêches centre boasts facilities such as indoor and outdoor swimming pools, ice skating rinks, fitness classes and a horse riding school.
