Chalet Tronchey is an ideal holiday home for a large family or two groups. Two of the four ensuite bedrooms are family suites, with an adjoining ‘den’ specifically designed for accommodating two to three children each. With both the Super-Châtel area and a chairlift being close, this chalet boasts a truly well-connected, elevated position within the resort. Beginners will find the wide slopes of Super-Châtel perfect for honing their technique and skills, with intermediate and advanced runs on offer at the resort too.
Restaurants and bars are 10 minutes away by chauffeured ride, so you can enjoy lively après ski long into the night. There’s a laid-back and family-feel to the evening scene at Châtel, so you’re well placed at Chalet Tronchey to make the most of it with loved ones.
Other popular activities at the resort include snowboarding, snowshoe walks, husky rides, sledging and ice skating. There’s plenty for children to do as well, with tobogganing and even snowman building!Châtel is a charming ski-village on the French-Swiss border that has a lovely, traditional Alpine feel. Its facilities suit all levels of skiers; making it perfect for a family holiday. Amenities are within easy reach, with many restaurants and bars less than 10 minutes away by chauffeur. The après ski scene is lively, but generally more laid-back than at many of the bigger resorts.Chalet Tronchey occupies one of the most elevated positions in the whole of Châtel, so the views are simply some of the very best. The chalet’s overall position is very privileged too. You’re conveniently close to the Super Châtel ski area, which means you can ski right back to the door. The nearest chairlift is just a few minutes away, so your private chauffeur can take you there quickly and easily.
The Super Châtel area offers a selection of beginner and easy runs, with the Pré-la-Joux area having great learner slopes. This area is also ideal for children, with a snow play area and activities such as tobogganing and an interactive winter trail to enjoy. More experienced skiers will also find many slopes to challenge them, with some of the best off piste skiing in the Portes du Soleil area.
Other fun outdoor activities to get involved with include snowboarding, snowshoe walking, ice skating, going on husky rides and sledging. Children can also try their hand at snowman building and tobogganing.
Forme d’O spa and aquatic centre offers both an indoor pool and outdoor pool for swimming whatever the time of year. There’s also a Jacuzzi and spa for total relaxation, as well as massages, beauty treatments and a fitness room.
