Rich wooden floors, organic fabrics and high quality furnishings in natural colours give this house a luxe yet laid-back vibe. Huge glass sliding doors run the entire length of the living area connecting the indoor and outdoor dining areas and offer panoramic ocean views. You will find everything you need for throwing together a delicious feast in the fully equipped modern kitchen and prepare local specialties on the outdoor grill and barbecue. The expansive terrace can cater for a group of 20 people and there are plenty of spots for everyone to relax and soak up the sun, including an outdoor daybed big enough for two. The large swimming pool is surrounded by lush landscaped gardens and you can keep your eye on all the water fun from the comfort of the living room sofa.
Stylish en-suite bathrooms and impeccable decor make each of the bedrooms feel like a private retreat. The onsite car park and transport cables (for any heavy lifting) make getting in and out of the property a breeze!

Located on the rugged north-east coast of Sardinia, Porto Rafael is found in the commune of Palau, a laid-back resort with beautiful pink-sand beaches and streets full of surf shops and fresh fish restaurants.The buildings are local granite and limestone painted in soft colours which blend harmoniously with the landscape, the roofs no taller than surrounding trees. The incredible La Maddalena archipelago can be seen from the shore and is just a 15 minute ferry ride across the water, offering magical jewel-coloured waters as clear as a swimming pool and a cluster of granite islands with deserted sandy coves. 
Things to do:
– Hire a boat and cruise around the Maddalena Islands and spend the day on your very own private island. Once upon a time the archipelago was the domain of pirates, political refugees and freedom-fighter Giuseppe Garibaldi. Garibaldi spent the last 15 years of his life on the second largest island, Caprera, and you’ll find his home and museum on the main island.
– Try the local specialty of suckling pig, lamb or kid goat which is basted and roasted over an open fire and can be enjoyed at most of the local restaurants. 
– Visit the Palau night markets which stay open until 1am in peak season.
– Watch the sun set from the top of bear-shaped Capo d’Orso, one of many weirdly-shaped rock formations along the northern coastline, sculpted by centuries of wind and rain. From the top you can see the Maddalena archipelago and, on a clear day, even to Corsica. This is an easy climb and has a well-marked path with plenty of benches for rests along the way. 
– Get glamorous in Porto Cervo, a millionaires’ playground on the Costa Smeralda where the marinas are lined with superyachts.
