Colourful flowers perfume the air as you enjoy al-fresco meals cooked on the barbecue, dips in the pool and Jacuzzi sessions. Or just as you relax on the sofas that share the partially-covered terrace with the dining table. Elevated terraces offer the most sweeping hill, sea and island views, which are especially magical at sunset.
The romance of the whitewashed exterior and dreamy outside space continues inside over two floors. Found under the villa’s terracotta-tiled roofs are rooms designed for laid-back gatherings, including two tastefully-furnished lounges and kitchen. There’s a light and airy feel throughout, with all three en-suite bedrooms with double beds also having direct outdoor access.
The coast that runs in both directions from the villa is dotted with pretty beaches, many of which feature picture-postcard white sand. This beach cove offers glorious views over the islands of Tavolara and Molara, with its sand and pebble stretch backed by lush green hills.

For a longer day out, head to breathtaking Su Gologone in the foothills of Mount Uddè. This natural spring that crashes out from an underground network of caves is one of the most-visited in Sardinia. On a quiet road, surrounded by greenery and with a white-sand beach less than a 10-minute walk away, Villa Intreccio is a dream coastal retreat.
