Croft Court House United Kingdom
Holiday Home Rental Description
With the looks of a French chateau, Croft Court House is a classically elegant south facing country house, built in the 1800’s, on the site of a medieval castle, is situated in its own grounds of 1,500 acres surrounded by mixed woodlands and paddocks. Only a short drive from Inverness and Nairn, this large holiday home is perfect for occasions, weddings and family gatherings alike.
On entering, there is a spacious reception hall, with fine feature staircase with triple arch, and this reception space is used as the dining hall for the house due to its size. With the dining table set, up to twenty-four people can be seated around the one table and there is quite a buzz in this room once the dinner party is under way. The kitchen is nearby and it is a large room with a traditional AGA and an electric range by the work-island. There is ample work space and storage units to cater for this group size, with further storage space within the larder to the rear.
Leading on from the reception hall is the large formal drawing room, with grand piano and open fire. It feels like walking into a family home when you enter this room. To the other side is the sitting room, which has a TV and is ideal for children or splitting the group. At the far end of the building is the “morning room”, a secondary sitting room. There is a smaller room, the TV room, which can be used specifically for children if required. A large old school style snooker room, with full size table, can be found in the basement, the perfect space to relax in the evenings. There is plenty of space for socialising, making Croft Court House the perfect choice for a family reunion! On the two floors above are a selection of well-appointed bedrooms, shower rooms and bathrooms to sleep up to twenty-three adults and two additional children. With a variety of doubles and twins, there is flexibility to comfortably accommodate a range of groups.
Outside, Croft Court House is surrounded by lawns and mixed woodlands in a woodland setting, but with an open aspect out to paddocks beyond. There are plenty of walking and cycling tracks to be explored and experienced throughout this stunning Scottish estate.Located 31 miles east of Inverness, 3 miles from Forres, this house is set within its own country grounds.
