A beautiful one-bedroom villa in Seminyak on the island of Bali, Villa Sadirewi creates an incredible atmosphere for a break for two. Equipped with impressive facilities including a Bose sound system and plasma TV, the villa enjoys a scenic resort setting, which includes tropical gardens and a 25m swimming pool surrounded by loungers and day beds.
Your villa is fully air-conditioned but can easily enjoy the fresh breeze too, thanks to its open layout, large windows and sliding doors. The main living area is open-plan and gets plenty of natural light. Just outside, you have your own private pool, measuring 8m x 3m, and a relaxing private garden with sun deck.
Inside, the villa offers a relaxing lounge space with entertainment available – there is Wi-Fi, a pre-loaded iPod, a 60-channel plasma TV and 8-speaker Bose surround sound system. Alongside the seating area, you have a dining table seating four, and a small kitchen area with a fridge, sink, complimentary bottled water and tea and coffee facilities.
Overlooking the pool, your bedroom features a king-size bed with luxury King Koil mattress, as well as a walk-in wardrobe and workstation. The impressive en suite bathroom offers a sunken bath and shower, with the toilet in a separate room. A hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers are all supplied too.
The Elysian resort is just as important to your experience, with its excellent poolside restaurant catering to all tastes. Regular Satay and Rijsttafel nights showcase some of the popular elements of Indonesian cuisine, while delicious seafood and Afternoon Tea sessions are a daily fixture. The Balinese spa is something else to look forward to, with massage and treatments delivered in the poolside bale or even in the comfort of your villa.
Seminyak itself is one of the most sought-after spots on the coast, with a beach that offers great surfing and sunsets, excellent dining and nightlife and plenty of designer shopping. You can discover malls like Seminyak Square and many more stores, just a short drive from the beach.Jewel of the world’s largest archipelago, Bali is an island playground where tradition and modernity mingle happily. You can experience time-honoured customs alongside a well-developed offering of shopping, dining and outdoor pursuits that keeps visitors coming back. There are all sorts of organised tours and packages you can take advantage of if you fancy trying river rafting, canyoning, quad biking or many other adventures. The surfing is also first-rate, with the divine Indian Ocean coastline sure to enhance the experience.
On the south-western coast, Seminyak is a very pleasing destination where you can acquaint yourself with Balinese life in style. Known for its designer boutiques, upscale dining scene and wonderful beach and spas, it’s a big step up from the more touristy Kuta which is between Seminyak and Ngurah Rai International Airport. In between, you also have Legian, which has some pleasant beaches of its own.
Well worth the drive of around one hour from Seminyak is the island’s cultural centre, Ubud. This is an area full of sights you shouldn’t miss, including gracious temples like Pura Taman Saraswati, amidst pink lotus flower ponds, and Tirta Empul with its holy springs. Other highlights around Ubud include the spectacular Tegallalang Rice Terraces, Tegenungan Waterfall and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary –a real visitor favourite with more than 700 apes roaming as they please.
You can find all kinds of outdoor attractions around Bali, many of them both family-friendly and great fun for adults – a safari and marine park, water-parks and adventure parks really make the most of the stunningly scenic locations the island is blessed with. These, combined with the island’s cultural heritage, make it a natural home for yoga and meditative retreats too.
