Sanur is a typical town along this exquisite palm-fringed coastal stretch of southeast Bali. Its centre is bursting with art galleries, colourful boutiques and lively open air bars and restaurants, with leafy streets and a long stretch of beach. Indeed, there’s a 5km long beach walk for scenic strolls, jogs and of course, paddling and enjoying the water and many water sports, including some beautifully calm surfing.
The beach in Sanur is simply stunning, with shallow and protected waters, perfect for learning to surf, or simply a relaxing swim. Meanwhile, the nearby Seminyak Beach and Petitenget Beach (where a beautiful Balinese temple hosts dazzling ceremonies on the beach) depict picturesque scenes, where the stunning white sand stretches to the horizon and the sunsets are to die for.
