Arriving at your private driveway through electronic gates, you will notice a casual seating area outside the front door, a charming place to enjoy your morning coffee in the fresh air. In the bright interior living space, comfortable sofas and chairs surround a coffee table and sit in front of the TV, with room for all the group to gather for a relaxed evening. The spacious kitchen extends around the corner, where a set of glass doors lead to the beautiful patio complete with a dining table and a barbeque.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need for meal prep, including a large oven and hob and a double sink. A central dining table is a perfect place to enjoy dinner on a cool evening, while the breakfast bar that sits alongside the kitchen is a great place to enjoy a snack between meals or catch up on any news you’ve been missing back home.
Two of the delightful bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one double and one twin, while two more are on the first floor, one double and one twin, all under the eaves. All four are incredibly spacious, with stylish, modern furniture and extremely comfortable beds. Towels and linen are provided, so you needn’t worry about packing your own. There are two elegant family bathrooms, each with a shower, bidet and WC and designed with rustic, traditional patterned tiles and beautiful fittings.
The garden is a fabulous space in which to kick back in the sunshine. Stylish sun-loungers on the manicured lawn create the perfect spot for a little sunbathing on a warm afternoon, with the occasional dip in your private pool to cool off! Seek out some shade under the umbrella or retire to the veranda, with a dining table alongside the barbeque – perfect for spicing up meal times. Enjoy a glass of wine under the moonlight before checking out the night-life of nearby Pozzallo.  Nestled in the charming suburbs of one of Sicily’s most vibrant towns, you’re just minutes away from the beach, fine food and a historically rich array of villages, fortresses and ruins. Nestled just off the picturesque coast of southern Sicily, overlooking miles of green fields which stretch to right to the Mediterranean Sea, Villa Jonica is ideally placed for those who enjoy the fresh air and calm of the countryside, yet don’t want to be too far from the action. An array of charming historical buildings and bars and restaurants can be found in the exquisite city of Modica, just half an hour away, while a fabulous beach awaits in Pozzallo, 2km south.
After a 1693 earthquake that flattened large parts of this Eastern section, ensuing creative rebuild afterwards, Sicily is famous for its architecture, in many cases producing something that looks more like a film set than a functioning town! Nearby Syracuse, Ragusa and Catania exhibit this beautiful Sicilian Baroque style, and the baroque towns of the Noto Valley, including Ispica, Ragusa and Noto, and the picturesque beaches of Fontane Bianche and Spiaggia della Marchesa are just a short drive away. Further exciting day trips include visiting the fishing village of Marzamemi, exploring nearby sandy beaches and visiting the Vendicari nature reserve, known for its flamingos.
Sicily is a diverse and beautiful island on the southern tip of Italy, famous for its exquisite wine and gastronomy (largely Mediterranean cuisine with strong hints of Arabic and Spanish influence), interesting architecture, and its picturesque rugged coastline. The island’s capital, Palermo, has a thriving nightlife and many wonderful opportunities for sightseeing.
