Villa Noemi is a striking feature of the mountainous landscape close to the northern coast of Sicily, with the town of Cefalù within easy reach. Its sleek, white, contemporary exterior is a beautiful contrast to the lush greens that surround it.
In a private position on top of a mountain, the views of the countryside and out to the sea are wide-ranging and incredibly relaxing. And yet the nearest village is just a 10-minute drive. And the coast, with attractive beaches such as Santa Maria Beach and Spiaggia Torre Conca, is 15 minutes away.
The interior of Villa Noemi is just as bright and fresh as its exterior, with pops of marine blue and natural hues reflecting its country/coast setting. Over two floors is a total of four bedrooms, each with an indulgent en-suite bathroom and large windows giving idyllic views. The two lower-floor bedrooms open straight out into the extensive outside space, so you can start each day with a deep breath of fresh air. There’s also a gym on this floor to kick start the morning with a work-out.
And the Mediterranean air keeps flowing gently through the rest of the villa, with the living spaces also offering direct access outside. An entire wall of the living/dining space is lined with glass doors, flooding the room with light. They also allow you to move effortlessly from drinks on the sofa to al-fresco meals on the terrace. Marvel at the sight of the sun setting over the sparkling sea as evenings come to an end.
Exploring the outside space, you’ll find a large swimming pool and a terrace with outdoor kitchen and barbecue, as well as another dining table. With so many relaxing options on offer, Villa Noemi guarantees a comfortable stay in rural paradise.
A 30-minute drive from the villa will bring you to the coastal town of Cefalù with its sandy beach and historic buildings. Under 90 minutes away by car is Sicily’s capital, Palermo. It too has a wealth of history and culture, along with bustling street markets to immerse yourself in.From its secluded setting on a mountainside, it’s only a short drive from Villa Noemi into the nearest village. Pollina has a small range of shops and cafes, as well as a supermarket. Undoubtedly its most striking feature is the Teatro Pollina, which is what remains of an ancient theatre at the top of a hill. The views are sweeping and you can see over to the town of Cefalù on a clear day.
Also head into the mountains for long walks from the villa and drive down to the coast in 15 minutes. There’s Spiaggia Torre Conca with its mix of volcanic black sand and pebbles, with Santa Maria Beach a mix of pebble and sand. Take a picnic with you and enjoy an afternoon of swimming in the sea. 
Historic Cefalù is 30 minutes away from the villa by car. Its old town is a wonderful place to stroll and soak up authentic atmosphere. The architectural highlights include a Norman cathedral and several pretty piazzas. There’s also a sandy beach and a few lidos where you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas. The old harbour acts as a reminder of Cefalù as an ancient fishing port.
Sicily’s capital, Palermo, is under a 90-minute drive. It’s full of life and colour, with lively markets selling fresh produce, such as fruits, vegetables, meat and street food. Its historic and cultural attractions are also many, with churches found throughout the city.
