The interiors at Villa Pagliolo offer the last word in crisp, minimalistic design. The living space features a large L-shaped sofa, ideal for lounging at the end of the day, plasma screen television and French windows giving garden access, while dining is a breezy open-plan set up.

A former defence town, Pozzallo is steeped in history, and is known for its 4 blue flag beaches. A fishing port, which is also strategically placed just 90km across the sea from Malta, Pozzallo is today a bustling town brimming with local life, while boasting access to both the Mediterranean and the Ionian Seas. The centrepiece of the old town is the Torre Cabrera, a 15th century watch tower, while palm-tree lined Piazza della Rimembranza sits at the heart of the city.
Ispica is renowned for its extensive prehistoric monuments and caves, while Noto is known for having one of Sicily’s most beautiful historic centres, its centrepiece being the 18th century cathedral. This tip of Sicily is home to mile upon mile of unspoilt sandy beaches, a series of UNESCO World Heritage sites and beautiful coastal towns steeped in baroque architecture.Villa Pagliolo is nestled in the centre of Pozzallo and a short drive to the beaches. This charming town is known for its the beach-side Torre Cabrera: a 15th century watch tower. The heart of town is the Piazza della Rimembranza, where locals gather and enjoy the shade of the palm trees. For evening strolls against magnificent sunsets, the promenade of Lungomare Pietrenere is ideal, and there is an array of cafes and restaurants on the water.
Santa Maria di Focallo is known for its superb long stretch of golden beach and sparkling clear waters, while Maganuco beach in Pozzallo (close to the port) is considered locally as one of the best beaches in the area. With regular ferries, a visit to Malta is just a 90 minute crossing.
Ispica is known for its extensive prehistoric monuments and caves, while the region offers a taste of authentic Sicilian living. The oil paintings, restored churches, cathedral and monuments in Ispica will see history lovers in their element.
A 15 minute drive will take visitors to Modica, one of the area’s UNESCO-listed Baroque towns. Restored after an earthquake, its medieval centre is an array of elegant buildings, chocolate shops and Sicilian charm.
