Marin Hill Orange Villa, sleeping up to fourteen people in seven bedrooms, is located in the town of Turgutreis on the Bodrum Peninsula. Snuggled in the hills, it immediately impresses with fabulous sweeping views of the Aegean Sea. This contemporary villa can cleverly be divided into two unique villas for two families travelling together. The villa benefits from a separate self-contained studio apartment, perfect if you are travelling with a nanny or teenagers. Constructed over different levels, offering two private pools, its own spa and gym, and all beautifully set in your own private garden. The villa is decorated in natural colours throughout, dressed with modern art and accessories, making for a very stylish stay. Wi-Fi and air-conditioning are available throughout.
The entrance floor opens onto a relaxing sitting room with picture floor to ceiling windows offering stunning views, furnished with a big comfortable L-shaped sofa, handy side and coffee tables, and a flat-screen TV. On the same floor a fully-equipped open plan kitchen has all the latest mod cons and an indoor dining area to entertain your family and friends. The entrance floor homes the first of the many double bedrooms, with its own ensuite bathroom.
For your guests, there is also a very convenient extra shared bathroom. The first or terrace floor is home to two double bedrooms, both ensuite with walk-in showers, washbasins and WCs, and stunning sea views. The large paved terrace has a mid-level pool, perfect for that early morning swim as the sun rises, for cooling down dip on a hot summer’s day, or sitting next to it sipping cocktails as the sunsets. The terrace is furnished with sunbeds surrounding the pool and a relaxing shaded seating area with an L-shaped sofa for a snooze in the sunshine.
The ground floor hosts three double bedrooms, all ensuite with walk-in showers, twin washbasins, and WCs, and all with their own terraces and spectacular sea views. There is a second sitting room, with a further open plan kitchen, with a dining area. This is where you will find the fabulous Finnish natural wood sauna, authentic Turkish hammam and fully-equipped fitness room, helping you keep fit and healthy whilst on your holidays. For the kids there is a playroom decorated with small-people sized furniture and things for them to do all day. As well as a second swimming pool for double dipping!
The villa is situated a short fifty-minute drive from the airport to Turgutreis, the second largest town on the Bodrum peninsula, set in the hills with panoramic views of the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea, it is just a short walk to the international marina and the local resort and all of the fabulous facilities it has to offer. The town of Turgutreis, named after the Ottoman admiral Turgut Reis, is a popular holiday destination, with over five kilometres of sandy beaches, perfect to relax in the sunshine or participate in a whole host of water sports and activities, inviting waterfront restaurants and bars for romantic evenings and dining out under the stars, and a busy marina welcoming yachts and international guests docking in from all over the Med and Aegean. The town plays host to a weekly market selling home-grown fruit and vegetables, freshly caught fish, locally pressed olive oils, honey from the farmer hives, and souvenirs to take home with you to remind you of your stay, it’s all very bazaar.
Four large supermarkets can fill your fridge and provide for your pantry for the duration of your stay. Get your culture kicks at the three local art galleries, visit the mosque, join the yachting fraternity at the Turgutreis Sailing Club, all aboard the Viking Boat for a day out at sea, saddle up and ride your pony at the Horseback Riding Club, or simply slip off your sandals and relax at one of the many beach clubs that line the seashore. Further afield, just thirty minutes drive north, is the town of Yalikavak, which offers a range of family fun activities, an impressive marina, where you can marvel at some seriously amazing superyachts, and a marble shopping mall to rival Milan selling all of your favourite designers and brands, as well as your own personal shopper as an optional extra!
Go south, and in fifty minutes, you’re back in the town of Bodrum, with its own fortress and financial centre, not to mention a whole host of activities and day trips that can take you further afield and discover the real Turkish delights. If you want to venture further afield, take a trip and seep yourself in history at the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ephesus, lose yourself in the cotton clouds of the incredible geological magic of Pammukale, or if you feel like going Greek nip on the ferry that takes you from Turgutreis to Kos.
