This picturesque villa fits in flawlessly with the charming Akyaka! This adult-only villa is set over two floors, and despite the minimal décor, it is a stylish and unique holiday home. To create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere, the villa is bright and open, with easy access to all areas of the home. The exposed wood throughout the villa is a beautiful transition from the surrounding nature, and it is consistent throughout. The downstairs consists of a cosy living room, with a fully equipped kitchen at the back. You’ve got a flat-screen television for entertainment and comfortable sofa for relaxing together.
Take the wooden stairs up to the bedroom, and you’ll find a chic and rustic style set up with a master bed and wardrobe. This intimate bedroom offers you a comfortable night’s sleep, and from the large windows, you’ve got splendid views of the surrounding area. The bedroom is open to the rest of the villa, so you have views of the living area.
The garden of the property has been designed to offer you an excellent location for relaxing, exercising and dining, all while being able to admire those beautiful views. With your own private pool, you can both enjoy floating and swimming without the crowds! You additionally have sun loungers near the pool perfect for soaking up the sun and an outdoor dining table set up. Under a covered terrace, there is also an outdoor table and chair set up for you so you can enjoy meals alfresco. Akyaka is one of nine Cittaslow accredited ‘Slow Towns’ in Turkey, on the southern Aegean coast. This beautiful town celebrates a slower pace of life, culture, nature and food! For foodies, you’ll find plenty of fish restaurants serving beautiful seafood. You will find other restaurants offering varieties of dishes, so if you tire of seafood, you’ll still find something to try. With various cafés, grabbing a cup of coffee and relaxing together, soaking up the easy atmosphere will be a joy.
If you’re looking for beaches, there are various beaches available including Akyaka Beach, which is a long sandy beach. This public beach is popular even in the off season, and thanks to its shallow waters, it is popular among families as well. A short drive away you’ll find the Cinar Beach Club. It is a secluded beach, although not secret so can get quite busy, but it has sunbeds and a small cafe.
The main attraction of Akyaka is, of course, it’s rural surroundings, the beautiful mountains and forests that surround you are mesmerising. Taking walks through nature can reveal some spectacular views, and you’ll see a variety of animals along the walks and rivers. Check out the Carian Way for local routes. The Azmak Nehri is a beautiful river. It’s crystal clear, with sea life and various birds. You can walk around or book a boat tour and experience this tranquil river. The tour is available at night as well, and this is just as beautiful. Additionally, you can swim in the water which is cold but highly refreshing!
If you want to travel a bit more then you can use the dolmus, public bus, to travel to Mugla which is the province. Mugla has the largest market in the region every Thursday! For those of you who love to explore, you can take a drive to the ruined city of Ephesus, approx 2 hours away. Ephesus was one of the most important cities in the Roman province, Asia Minor. It was once a port city, but when another port city was favoured over Ephesus, it was abandoned.Other places to visit nearby include the ancient sites at Stratonikeia & Caunos, Marmaris, Dalyan to mention a few.
