Kalamar Bay is an upmarket, trendy bay to the west of Kalkan. The exquisite Kalamar Beach Club is located in the stunning cove and boasts luxury loungers, showers, delicious food and cocktails and an excellent range of watersports. It is walking distance to the buzzy and atmospheric resort of Kalkan Town. The location of Villa Kale is absolutely fabulous as it is so close to gorgeous towns and villages, historic and interesting tourist attractions and the superb entertainment that Kalkan has to offer.
Villa Kale is extremely stylish and contemporary making excellent use of a range of superb, quality materials. Its dramatic, elevated position offers astonishing panoramic views of the bay. The ground floor space is elegant with open plan living comprising a top-notch kitchen with every possible dreamy appliance and kitchen aid, a superb dining area and a sumptuous modern living space. All of the furnishings are chic and impressive. Striking artwork and lighting arrangements will catch your eye and make you smile. Floor to ceiling windows and doors illuminate the whole space and bring the outside in. The space flows seamlessly and leads to the magnificent terrace and swimming pool. One of the stunning double bedrooms is located on the ground floor as well as an immaculate shower room. There is also a separate utility room.
Upstairs the remaining 3 astounding bedroom suites await with superior furnishings, fittings and linens. The ensuite bathrooms are pristine and totally gorgeous. One of the double bedrooms has a dressing room and a private balcony. The other double shares a balcony with the twin bedroom. The twin also has a dressing room. You will certainly look forward to relaxing and indulging yourself in such beautiful surroundings.
The outside space is amazing with a stunning infinity pool looking out to sea. There is a cold jacuzzi. The exquisite outdoor furniture includes sun loungers perched on the shallow pool shelf so that you feel as though you are floating on water as well as excellent alfresco dining and lounge areas. The couple’s day bed will be very popular! There are trendy hanging chairs, perfect for that holiday read or just to be cozy and admire the views. Table tennis is provided for your entertainment. This villa is truly stunning!
The villa is new for 2020 and therefore the images are digital. The owner is well known to us and in regular contact, once it is complete we will have updated photography. Kalamar Bay is a wonderful location. The Kalkan Dive Centre and their joint company, Aqua Sports are located in the bay, offering everything from scuba diving, jet skis and private boat hire to trampolines.
Kalkan is a thriving holiday destination for sun and food lovers. It oozes charm with narrow cobbled streets, ancient whitewashed houses, bourganvillea decorated courtyards, trendy, unique boutiques selling textiles, clothes,’designer’ handbags and pretty jewellery and rooftop restaurants boasting panoramic views. Gastronomic cuisine is offered from the 350 restaurants in the town. Some are tucked away in secret corners but all offer amazing hospitality, charm and fantastic menus.
For something different you can venture up the hill to fabulous trout farms for dinner. Springs were diverted from the mountains into the village of Islamar which led to a thriving trout farming industry. Not only will you be served delicious fresh fish, the views from the restaurant terraces are breathtaking. The harbour of Kalkan is brimming with colourful boats, charming traditional gulets and luxury yachts. You can take ferries to the upmarket beach clubs along the coast or take a very special gulet trip, either by day or at sunset.
There are numerous stunning beaches to visit including Patara Beach and Kaputas Beach. The many upmarket beach clubs have deluxe loungers nestled on the rocky platforms and serve amazing cocktails and delicious food. The slightly quieter resort of Kas is about 25 minutes away. It is also very pretty with narrow lanes, atmospheric, upmarket restaurants and beautiful shops. It is utterly charming!
If you would like to visit historical sites, then Patara is a perfect excursion. It boasts an ancient theatre, recently restored parliament building and impressive Roman baths. Also, a little further afield but equally as fascinating, is the preserved ‘ghost village’ of Kayakoy where hundreds of deserted, Greek-style houses and churches sit eerily on the hillside. It was abandoned after the Turkish-Greek population exchange of 1923.
If you are seeking an active day you can kayak along the Xanthos River or visit the majestic and dramatic Saklikent Gorge which was opened as a national park in 1996. The gorge is 18km long and 300m deep. Visitors wade through the chilly water, climb, swim and slide through the gorge. It is exhilarating and great fun with the fresh mountain water often up to waist height. River rafting and dining by the waterside are other options at this splendid location.
