This gorgeous 4-bedroom villa is perfectly placed for exploring the wonders of ever-popular Bodrum. With the nearest beach 1km away, and bars and restaurants even closer, you’ll have plenty to enjoy on your doorstep – including Villa Kav’s own spacious gardens and ocean-view private pool.
Suitable for up to eight guests, this villa enjoys the most magnificent views out to sea, and offers large terrace and lawn areas from which to admire them. There are seating and dining areas out on the poolside deck, as well as sun loungers and parasols, while the adjacent garden area is ideal for children to play on. You can also enjoy dinner in the sun with a portable barbecue.
The main living areas of the house are located on the upper level. Stroll in from the terrace to the well-equipped kitchen with its sleek units, high-quality appliances and glass-topped dining table. There’s an equally modern feel to the comfortable lounge, also with direct terrace access, which offers lots of sumptuous seating, and satellite channels on the flatscreen LCD TV.
A double bedroom with en suite is also on the first floor, while the remaining bedrooms are located downstairs. These three bedrooms all have an en suite with shower, and one has access to the lower terrace too. With air-conditioning in all the bedrooms, you will be cool and comfortable every night.
Located on the Bodrum peninsula, Villa Kav is a short drive from many of the attractions of this attractive resort. The marina area is sure to attract you, with countless waterfront restaurants, bars and clubs to discover along Neyzen Tefvik Caddesi. The buzzing centre of town is just a short stroll away, and regular street markets are a great place to shop for local food and crafts.
Be sure to check out one of the town’s key sights, the Bodrum Antique Theatre, a magnificent 4th-century amphitheatre which still plays host to local performers. The 15th-century Castle of St Peter is another must-see landmark – while you’re there, don’t miss the fascinating Museum of Underwater Archaeology.Once the site of the ancient Greek city of Halicarnassus, the Turkish resort of Bodrum combines a host of historic sights with full-on modern-day entertainment. As one of the most popular spots on the Turkish coast, and with ferry links to the Greek islands which lie not too far away, it’s the obvious choice for those wishing to get a taste of both countries in one sun-soaked break.
There’s a bit of everything in Bodrum, and much of it is geared up for the million-plus visitors who head for the town every year. Along the waterfront, facing a glamorous yacht-filled marina, you’ll find a variety of restaurants and café terraces, interspersed with shops, nightclubs and the like.
There’s probably enough there to keep you going for a week or two, but don’t miss out on the history of Bodrum – the mausoleum of Mausolus, once one of the seven wonders of the world, and the impressive Castle of St Peter, are good starting points. In the latter, you will also find the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, where ancient shipwrecks and artefacts are impressively presented. The nearby Old Town is also well worth a look, providing an attractive contrast to the modernised areas of Bodrum.
Beach life is big on the Bodrum Peninsula, and you have plenty of choices for sunbathing.
