Just 6km from the town of Appechio the location offers the perfect illusion of isolation, with mountain bike hire, wine tasting, horse riding and guided trekking all within a similar distance. The region is also famed for its truffles which can be found in nearby restaurants and are a rare delicacy not to be missed!
Outside of the property is a luscious green space that includes a marvellous private swimming pool to be accessed by guests at their leisure. The original building is a farmhouse dating back to the 13th century and contains a billiards room and impressive living room with fireplace. The newer section of the property comes complete with a professional hotel-style kitchen and a large dining room, yet still maintains the rustic charm of the original.Casa Lagana is within the heart of Italy so there is no shortage of activities and sights to see.
The ancient walled commune of Piobbico is just 10 km from the house and is filled with stunning medieval castles and churches, and there is also the opportunity to go horse riding and mountain biking in the surrounding countryside.
A guide known to the owners of the property can take you on personalised treks through the famous nearby Monte Nerones trails.
For those who love to relax with a game of tennis this can be arranged 4km down the mountain in Serravelle di Carda.
The ancient Cita di Castello is steeped in Umbrian history and is a great location for taking in artwork of the Renaissance  period, just 27km from the property.
