Vista House holds a brilliant location set within four acres of grounds overlooking the beautiful Wiltshire hills. Guests will enjoy a completely tranquil escape while the village of Lambourn, where a handful of helpful amenities can be found, is just five minutes away. Further afield, a wider variety of shops and restaurants can be found in the historic market town of Newbury, just thirty minutes away.
The bright and beautiful home is ideal for multi-generational groups with plenty of room for socialising and entertaining, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests across its four beautifully-appointed bedrooms. On the ground floor is the main open-plan living space which comprises of a sitting room with log burner, dining area with seating for eight and games area with pool table. Large Bifold doors let in endless light and enable guests to enjoy the stunning countryside views whatever the weather. The kitchen comes fully-equipped with all the tools you could possibly need to create as well as breakfast bar seating for three. Upstairs on the first floor are the four bedrooms, a master with king-size bed, additional day bed and en-suite shower room and another double with en-suite shower room. The two remaining bedrooms, a double and a single room, share the use of a family bathroom.
Outside, after action-packed days spent exploring Berkshire and all that it has to offer, the whole group will enjoy gathering on the terrace and enjoying a delicious meal al fresco. The large grounds offer plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy games.Vista House is situated in an officially designated “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty”. The house is less than 5-minutes from the village of Lambourn, a wider selection of shops and restaurants can be found in Newbury or Swindon, both a 30-minute drive away.
Vista house is in the middle of stunning walks and trails, and is a ten minute drive from the Ridgeway National Trail which stretches from Avebury in Wiltshire to Tring in Berkshire – a destination for walkers, hikers and mountain bikers.
There is plenty to see, do and explore in the surrounding area. Highclere Castle, a must visit for any fans of Downtown Abbey, is just 30-minutes away – be sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Some of the most iconic towns and villages of the Cotswolds are reachable within an hour’s drive, including Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Cirencester. Families will enjoy a visit to Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens which is home to over 260 species of animals and just 45-minutes away. Oxford itself, best known for its prestigious university, is less than 50-minutes away.
