Villa Foggiali, situated near the picturesque town of Castellana Grotte on the southern coast of Italy, is a beautifully restored Trulli stone house that exudes simplicity and comfort. Steeped in history, the villa has retained its original stone walls, distinctive domed ceilings, and a collection of authentic artefacts, creating a genuine rustic ambiance. Spanning one hundred and ten square meters across two floors, the villa accommodates up to six guests in its three double bedrooms, ideal for a family holiday, or a group of friends’ sharing. Villa Foggiali is part of a small shared complex, with your own private terrace, garden, and swimming pool.
The domed roof, stone walled ground floor welcomes you with a warm living space featuring comfortable chairs, and a flat screen television for your amusement. A classic six seater dining set, wooden settle, and matching sideboard is just right for some indoor entertaining. The fully-equipped modern kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, and that must-have Italian morning coffee maker.
The two ground floor has two simply furnished double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, a bedside table, and a wardrobe, whilst the second bedroom with two single beds, and a bedside table. These bedrooms share a well-appointed stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower, hand basin, bidet, and WC.
Take the stairs to the upper floor where you’ll find the third bedroom with a double bed, bedside table, wardrobe, and an ensuite shower room. A balcony off this bedroom offers panoramic picturesque views of the surrounding local countryside.
Outside, the villa unfolds into a private oasis. A terrace leads to a meticulously-manicured lawned garden, with steps leading down to the brand-new step-entry swimming pool, inviting guests to bask in the sun on comfortable loungers. A pergola-covered soft seating area provides shade, and a six-seater picnic bench-style dining table sits under a veranda, and offers the perfect spot for outdoor meals. The summer kitchen, BBQ, and pizza oven complete the al fresco dining experience.
Facilities include complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and ample shared parking spaces with the owner. An electric car charging station is available, and baby amenities are thoughtfully provided.

Villa Foggiali can be found in the heart of the Puglian countryside, near to the village of Castellana Grotte, and a short drive to the hot spot resort of Monopoli, on the south coast of Italy. The villa is a scenic sixty kilometre drive from Bari Karol Wojtyła International Airport.
In the village of Castellana Grotte you will find shops and stores with provisions for your stay, and lots of welcoming friendly cafes, bars, and restaurants. Visit the Grotte di Castellana, an underground cave of stalactite and stalagmite formations, see the Chiesa Matrice church, and take a short drive to Trullo Sovrano, a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conical roof.
A ten minute drive will take you to the nearest beaches of Monopoli, with several beautiful sandy shores, and a charming old town with narrow, cobbled streets, the historic Castle of Carlo V, the frescoed Palmieri Palace, an Archeological Museum, and the impressive Baroque Cathedral.
Travel further afield to the traditional fascinating towns of Polignano a Mare, Ostuni, Zoosafari Fasanolandia, Ostuni, Egnazia Archaeological Park, Cisternino, and Torre Canne, each offering unique experiences.
