Rent Villa Cison Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
The ancient village of Cison di Valmarino is known as one of the most beautiful in Italy, surrounded by idyllic rural landscapes and yet set just 60km away from Venice, this area is a delightful setting for a holiday with family or friends. The home, Villa Cison has been owned by the same noble family since the 15th century and has seen its fair share of battles and feuds throughout the centuries, as well as its fair share of glamourous parties. The home was built in a strategic position for trade and for defending Venice’s borders, so was of much importance to the local community. Many of the nearby buildings share the same owners and all have matching red shutters. These days, though the house still looks like a grand palace, it has been fully renovated and brought up to do date in order to accommodate groups of up to twenty guests. While staying here, you will be able to enjoy the luxurious surroundings and yet feel completely at home in this warm and welcoming villa. Throughout Villa Cison, you will see many original features such as tiled or parquet flooring, fireplaces and pretty shutters on the windows. In a number of the bedrooms there are even original medieval frescoes on the walls and ceilings which are breathtaking to behold. These period features work in harmony with the modern, neutral colour palette and high-end furnishings to create a perfect blend of old and new. Though the villa is large, it still has a cosy feel to it due to the tasteful décor, artworks and antique items which are dotted throughout the living spaces and bedrooms. The accommodation here is spread over three floors. There are a staggering 4 living rooms which include grand, formal living areas, an open plan living and dining room and a snug TV room. There are also two large dining rooms, one of which can be used for banqueting and events for up to 50 guests. You will even find two kitchens here; both of the designer kitchens are equipped with all of the appliances and crockery you could require, though one is much larger and suited to events. Next up we have the bedrooms which are spread over the top two floors of the house. There are 10 bright and airy bedrooms available; most of the rooms offer king-sized beds, while 2 of the rooms have 2 queen sized beds in each and would suit the children. Some of the rooms feature original frescoes and beamed ceilings, while others are whitewashed and boast contemporary beds and more modern art work. Whichever room you select, you will be sure of a great night’s sleep and will have access to an en-suite bathroom or a bathroom which is shared with just one other bedroom. This set up is perfect for a larger group. When staying here, you are able to truly relax and let go of the stresses of day-to-day life. Cleaning staff will be on hand to keep the home tidy, plus you will also have a cook and a butler to assist you. The house is located within a small village, though when you are out in the garden, you would not know this due to the vast size of the grounds. There are large lawned spaces, dining terraces and an outdoor living room, ideal for spending time outside in the afternoon sun. There is also a fantastic private swimming pool lined with sun loungers and parasols. Just a few paces away from the house, you will find yourself in the village centre. Here you can discover a small array of shops and some brilliant eateries which are handy to have so close. The village also has an imposing castle which is one of the oldest in Italy. It is now a hotel, but you are able to visit for dinner or to book a session at their inviting spa. There is always something going on in the lively village centre, from bustling markets to craft workshops.
