Part of the Trois Vallées, Courchevel is the ultimate ski resort, with a high-altitude, efficient lift system and majority of north-facing slopes that ensure a consistent deep snow cover. For those after a challenge, a variety of steep corridors and technical pistes can be found around La Saulire, or head to the Grand Couloir to try out L’Eclipse, an impressive fast run recently completed for the 2023 World Championships. Combe Saulire is a great signature red, whilst a handful of blues and green are perfect for those seeking a more gentle experience. Several nursery areas and dedicated beginner zones are ideal for first-timers, and there are plenty of ski schools and instructors to help build up confidence before moving further up the mountain.

Situated beside the airport, Le Pilatus is a great place to stop for lunch with a bird’s eye view of the runway or visit La Cave des Creux, where you can sit out on the terrace and soak up the sun. Run by two brothers, the restaurant is a popular spot with locals and serves an authentic brasserie menu celebrating ingredients sourced from the surrounding region. Les Verdons is a fun spot to end the day with live music and dancing, or head to Le Caterail, where you can party with the DJ late into the night.
Courchevel has plenty to offer away from the slopes, with a variety of activities to be found on and off the mountains.
