Rent Villa Boena Croatia
Holiday Home Rental Description
Enter the villa at ground floor level, where you will be welcomed with a light and airy, open-plan living space with picture windows that reflect mountain views. The seating area has a dove grey L-shaped sofa, coffee tables, a flatscreen satellite television, and an enclosed log-burning fire for those cooler months and evenings. The elegant steel grey, eight-seater dining set is ideal for some impressive indoor entertaining. The adjacent white and stainless steel kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances you will need to cater for your holiday, including an island with bar stools and that must-have morning coffee maker. The first of the four well-appointed bedrooms is on this floor, with a king-size bed, an ensuite shower room, and access to the pool terrace, perfect for rolling out of bed for a swim before breakfast. A guest cloakroom, with a washing machine, completes the ground floor. Take the stairs to the first floor, where you will find three spacious double bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed, an ensuite shower room, and a mountain and pool view balcony. Bedroom three has two single beds, which can be converted to a king, and bedroom four has a king-size bed. These bedrooms share a family bathroom with a large glass-fronted walk-in shower and a furnished mountain-view balcony.
Step out onto the tiled terrace, where an artificial lawn surrounds a centrepiece step-entry heated swimming pool. Modern sun loungers are strategically placed to maximise the summer rays. Have a game of ping-pong, bounce on the trampoline, take your turn in the swing chair whilst the children have fun in the dedicated play area. Cool off under the outdoor shower, and there’s an outdoor loo too. Catch up with this year’s best-seller as you relax at the soft seating spot. As dusk falls, meet for cocktails on the terrace, and watch the sunset over the mountain. Prepare supper in the fully equipped summer kitchen, grill local delicacies on the built-in barbecue, then feast alfresco at the ten-seater dining set as the stars come out to shine.

Pine trees and a mountain backdrop provide a superb setting to enjoy dining alfresco by the seashore on freshly caught seafood on the Makarska Riviera. The town of Imotski is only seventeen kilometres from the villa, home to the fascinating natural phenomenon of the Red and Blue Lakes. It has an historic old town with stone streets and the tenth-century Topana fortress. The area is famous for hiking, cycling trails, bird watching, mountaineering, and free-climbing. Take the zip liner in Omis over the Cetina River, which flows down a magnificent canyon, and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the abundant natural flora and fauna. Alternatively, water raft or kayak down the river before viewing the canyon on the glass-fronted skywalk on Biokovo Mountain.
Take a fifty-minute drive to Split, the second-largest city in Croatia. Head straight to the historic third-century Palace of Diocletian, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk the old town’s cobbled streets to discover local markets, iconic churches, the San Domnius cathedral, art museums, ancient ruins, and fortifications. Promenade along the front to Riva Harbour, and stop for a coffee and watch the boats sail by. See Jupiter’s Temple with its fascinating black marble sphinx. Make a day of it in the town of Solin, northeast of Split, originally known as Salona, once the ancient capital of Dalmatia and the birthplace of Emperor Diocletian.
Wander around the ruins of the Archaeological Park, then head north to the town of Klis and discover the medieval fortress where Game of Thrones was filmed. Take a trip to charming Trogir, sitting on a small island connected to the mainland and famous for its Renaissance, Baroque, and Romanesque architecture, medieval walls, a thirteenth-century cathedral, and St John’s chapel that has a bell tower with a view. Make sure you take a tour of the local vineyards and sample the delights of Croatian wine. Travel further afield for a full away day to the capital city of old Dubrovnik, the historic towns of Medjugorje and Mostar, or take a boat trip to the islands of Brac, Hvar, and Solta. In the evenings, enjoy dining alfresco under a Croatian sky. The village has friendly cafes and bars for an aperitif and a welcoming taverna serving traditional dishes.
