Rent Cal Abat Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
A four-bedroom, four-bathroom charming villa overlooking the charming town of Deià, Mallorca boasting a private infinity pool and mountain views.
Surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains, Cal Abat has been built in hues of stone which blend into the surrounding landscape, marrying a modern interior decor with typical Mallorcan style.
Making your way into the villa, you’ll tread across a creamy tiled floor into the living room. Three large sofas have been built into the room itself – clearly with relaxation in mind! The sofas sit under wooden beamed ceilings and are surrounded by clean, white walls, and in the corner, a grand piano waits to be played. A working fireplace means everyone can stay cosy if the nights turn cooler, and what better way to end a day than curled up on a couch drinking a glass of Spanish red while the fire roars?
Adjoining the living room, is a kitchen made from local stone, and touches of wood make up the shelves and the drawers. The kitchen features a stylish dining area which can be opened up so guests can dine indoors or al fresco. A large en suite bedroom with a king-size bed sits on the lower ground floor, along with a gym that features its own private entrance and a TV.
Making your way up to the first floor, you’ll find the remaining three bedrooms, each with a king bed and air conditioning. Each bedroom is light and airy and features clean white walls and crisp bed sheets. Three of the rooms overlook the village, while the master bedroom has a balcony with stunning panoramic views.
Stepping out of the house, you’ll come to the magnificent terrace which stretches along the property. The infinity pool is built into the terrace and really is the jewel in the crown of Cal Abat. Guests wanting to make the most of their time outdoors can bask in the pool or on one of the sun loungers while they top up their tans. The garden is dotted with seating areas and views of the surrounding mountains, so anyone wanting to get away from it all, relax, and unwind will really be in their element.

Situated on the northwest coast of Mallorca, Deià is considered one of the most scenic towns on the whole island. Located in the Serra de Tramuntana, part of the landscape has been awarded World Heritage Site status thanks to the mountain village’s unique combination of nature, culture, and tradition.
Deià has long had a reputation for being an oasis of peace and tranquillity, rewarding visitors with its stunning sea and mountain views. Take a day to explore the walking and hiking trails which cover Miramar Monastery and the peninsula of Sa Foradada. The village also offers a number of dining experiences, including the Michelin-starred Es Racó d’Es Teix, which sits at the top of a steep hill and offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. For an afternoon tea treat, head over to Restaurant Miró, which offers home-made pastries and scones.
Cala Deià is a ten-minute drive from the villa, where guests can bask in the sunshine of the rocky bay and enjoy fresh fish at one of the two restaurants. Two miles away is Llucalri Beach, which can only be reached by foot or by boat and offers natural mud baths for a simple and natural spa treatment.
A fifteen-minute drive away is Valledemossa, another charming mountain town which is also the highest in Mallorca. History and culture buffs will enjoy a visit to the church and cloisters of the Royal Carthusian Monastery. There’s also a Chopin museum and a cultural centre founded by Michael Douglas, who has a home nearby. Head over to the village on a Sunday morning and check out the street market, which offers Spanish hams and cheeses and locally produced fruit and vegetables.
Close to Valledemosa, there are a number of secluded beaches along the coast. Cala Sa Marina is a charming pebble beach where guests can enjoy food at the restaurant and a sea view. Intrepid visitors can head to the small cove of Caló de s’Estaca, which is accessible by hiking. Starting at the Miramar monastery, hikers will make their way along an oak-lined track before emerging at the turquoise waters.
