Rent Villa Adalyn Croatia
Holiday Home Rental Description
The property stands in its own seven hundred and sixty-five square metres of fenced-in land, populated with local shrubs, lush green lawns, and a centrepiece private swimming pool. The villa comes with all the mod cons, including complimentary air-conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, flat-screen televisions in the living area and all the bedrooms, and parking for up to three cars. The interiors are cool and contemporary, floor-to-ceiling sliding doors let in lots of light and open onto the pool terrace. The furnishings are modern, the lighting and art adorning the walls is fun and funky, and the colour scheme is a sophisticated palette of crisp, clean white with contrasting shades of subtle greys.
The impressive one hundred and seventeen square metres of living space is cleverly arranged over one floor. The open-plan living area has picture windows that slide open onto the pool terrace and slick parquet flooring. A large comfy, royal blue L-shaped sofa can be converted into a double bed, a glass coffee table, and a flat-screen satellite television, preloaded with Netflix. The adjacent eight-seater dining set is perfect for indoor entertaining. The natural wood and stainless steel kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you will need to cater for your holiday, including that must-have Dolce Gusto morning coffee maker. There is a useful kitchen island with bar stools, ideal for breakfast. A separate laundry room has a washer and a dryer for your holiday wash. The master bedroom has a king-size double bed, a flat-screen TV, an ensuite shower room, and access to the pool terrace, perfect to roll out of bed for a morning swim. The other two double bedrooms have queen size beds, flat-screen TVs, and dressing table desks. There is a stylish shared bathroom with a walk-in glass-fronted shower, hand basin, and WC. Access the tiled terrace through the sitting room sliding doors, where you will find a step-entry swimming pool surrounded by cushioned, classic wooden sun loungers and shady brollies. Lay on the lawn and catch some of those summer rays. A patio seating set and a traditional bench are just the spots for enjoying a cocktail at sundown. Sit at the six-seater dining set, feast alfresco with dishes freshly cooked on the portable barbecue, and enjoy supper under the stars.

The nearest beach is seven kilometres away, in the picturesque town of Omis, blessed with twenty kilometres of sandy shores. Spend the day at a beach club. Swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea, and have some fun with a selection of water sports. In Omis, you will find banks and bars, supermarkets and souvenir shops, beachfront tavernas and boat trips. The area is famous for its hiking and cycling trails, bird watching, mountaineering, and free-climbing. Take the zip line over the Cetina River flowing down a magnificent canyon, and enjoy a bird’s eye view of its abundant flora and fauna. Alternatively, water raft or kayak down the river before viewing the canyon on the glass-fronted skywalk. Take a thirty-minute drive to Split, the second-largest city in Croatia.
Head straight to the historic third-century Palace of Diocletian, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk the old town’s cobbled streets to discover local markets, iconic churches, the San Domnius cathedral, art museums, ancient ruins, and fortifications. Promenade along the front to Riva Harbour, and stop for a coffee and watch the boats sail by. Go and see Jupiter’s Temple with its fascinating black marble sphinx. Make a day of it in the town of Solin, northeast of Split, originally known as Salona, once the ancient capital of Dalmatia and the birthplace of Emperor Diocletian. Wander around the ruins of the Archaeological Park, then head north to the town of Klis and discover the medieval fortress where Game of Thrones was filmed.
Take a trip to charming Trogir, sitting on a small island connected to the mainland and famous for its Renaissance, Baroque, and Romanesque architecture, medieval walls, a thirteenth-century cathedral, and St John’s chapel that has a bell tower with a view. Make sure you take a tour of the local vineyards and sample the delights of Croatian wine. Travel further afield for a full away day to the capital Dubrovnik, the historic Medjugorje and Mostar, or take a tourist boat to the nearby islands of Brac, Hvar, and Solta. In the evening, head to one of the beach bars in town for a sunset cocktail and supper in a romantic taverna. For clubbing and the nightlife, take a taxi to Split and make your way to Bacvice, the epicentre of all things hedonistic.
