Rent La Neblina Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
Sitting on the hillside just outside of Gaucin, this charming Spanish finca offers spectacular views of the mountains and surrounding countryside, which you can enjoy whilst soaking up the sun beside the pool. Set within 7.5 acres of land, La Neblina is a traditional rural property, remotely set and offering the ideal place to relax with family and friends.
Enjoying a remote position, a long driveway lined with hundred-year-old oaks leads up to the entrance, where the typical whitewashed facade is wrapped in a lovely wisteria. Arranged over two floors, the interior of the property has retained its rustic charm, whilst modern additions ensure a comfortable stay. Bright and spacious, the rooms are thoughtfully furnished and exposed timber beams and typical terracotta tiled floors offer a sense of warmth and character. Beside the fireplace, an informal seating area with several large sofas offers a comfortable place to sit, whilst the well-equipped kitchen has everything for preparing meals throughout your stay, with marble countertops and lovely wooden cabinets, as well as an impressive double Falcon range. A dining table has ample room for everyone, or you can step outside onto the terrace and share leisurely meals in the fresh air whilst looking out over the magnificent garden.
There are six bedrooms in total, offering a mixture of double and single beds, and all the rooms benefit from a private bathroom, ensuring that all guests enjoy a comfortable stay. One of the suites on the ground floor features a jacuzzi and its own terrace, perfect for escaping and finding a moment of solitude at the end of the day, whilst on the lower level, another room enjoys an impressive sauna room, as well as a private terrace, inviting you to wake up and enjoy a quiet coffee in the morning sun.
Several openings give access to the terrace, which falls away to the glorious garden, beautifully maintained with vibrant plants and plentiful fruit trees. To the rear, various seating arrangements sit beneath the roof’s extending canopy, where you can relax in the shade or make the most of the warm weather and entertain guests with a barbecue outside. A generously sized swimming pool is positioned in the centre, perfecting for calling off with a refreshing dip, and a handful of loungers nearby inviting you to dry off in the sun or relax with a book and soak up the tranquil setting. To the far end, the terrace opens up to the panoramic view, stretching over the surrounding landscape filled with orange groves and olive farms. A lovely lily pond sits to one side, and a further dining terrace is sheltered by a winding grapevine, whilst the fire pit nearby offers the perfect spot for opening a bottle of vino and sharing a drink whilst admiring the spectacular view.
There is also a basketball and padel court, where you enjoy a match and get some exercise, along with plenty of high-end exercise equipment, or why not partake in a restoring flow on the dedicated yoga terrace?

Sitting in the middle of the Andalusian countryside, La Neblina enjoys a tranquil setting surrounded by beautiful citrus groves and olive farms. Positioned between two mountain ranges, Los Alcornocales and Serranía de Ronda, there is plenty of opportunity to discover the beautiful landscape or visit one of the charming hillside towns nearby.
A succession of rugged mountains, Los Alcornocales is full of flora and fauna, as well as hosting the largest mass of cork oak on the Iberian Peninsula. The area forms part of a national park, and there are plenty of well-marked trails to explore, as well as a range of activities such as caving, mountaineering and horseback riding. The area is great for birdwatchers, or if you are visiting in the autumn months, then you can take a guided tour and learn about picking mushrooms. On the other side, the Serranía de Ronda has plenty to offer, famed for its historic settlement perched atop El Tajo. Dating back to Islamic times, the town of Ronda was once an important cultural centre of mosques and palaces, and you can wander the cobbled alleys or walk across the Puente Nueve, one of three crossing points over the dramatic gorge. Built in 1793, the impressive bridge towers 120m above the canyon floor, and you can nervously marvel at the Guadalevin River below. Spend the day discovering Ronda’s mix of architectural styles, admiring the elegantly decorated Iglesia de Santa Maria La Mayor or stopping for some lunch at Restaurante Almocabar, where you can sample the region’s cuisine or share typical plates of tapas against the backdrop of the Moorish Puerta de Almocabar gate.
Closer to the finca, Gaucin is a charming mountain village with sweeping views down to Gibraltar and North Africa. Often acknowledged to be the gateway to the national park, the medieval settlement is worthwhile visiting, and you can wander the narrow, hilly streets to see the traditional ‘pueblos blancos’ adorned with colourful pots and plants. Although little remains of the Roman batiment, the Castillo del Aguila provides a panoramic vista over the surrounding area. Despite its small population, the village has several notable restaurants, such as locally-owned La Fructuosa or Michelin-starred Platero & Co. With a lovely terrace and weekly changing menu, Platero & Co offers a wonderful spot to soak up the view whilst you enjoy delicious seasonal plates made from local produce sourced from the mountains nearby.
Whilst comprising a splendid mountainous landscape, Andalucia is well-known for its golden beaches and sunny climate, and if you fancy a day beside the sea, the coast is less than an hour away. Hop in the car and head to Estepona, where you can visit the historic old town or stop by the popular La Rada beach to see the Punta Doncella lighthouse that dates back to 1863. Flanked by a modern promenade, Playa la Rada features a long stretch of sand and a gentle shoreline perfect for enjoying a refreshing swim, and there are a handful of chiringuitos where you can stop for a drink or enjoy a snack of fresh sardines or a delicious dish of fragrant paella. Alternatively, drive a little further along the coast to Tarifa, and spend the day on the beautiful Playa de Los Lances or join the local crowd and have a go at kitesurfing at Valdevaqueros.
