Villa Etthy is built out of traditional local stone, with a classic terracotta roof, and is surrounded by stone walls and high fencing for privacy, security, and shade. The interiors are cosy and comfortable, furnished in a home-from-home style, with lots of natural light wood, timbered ceilings, and parquet floors, and decorated in a soft colour palette of gentle earth tones.
Enter the villa at the ground floor level, where you will be welcomed by an open-plan living space. The seating area has a pale grey two-seater sofa, shelving unit and chair, coffee table, a flat-screen satellite television, and doors that open onto the pool terrace. On this floor, there is a bedroom with a stone wall, which will be super cool in the summer, a built-in double bed, and open-plan wardrobes. A modern white tiled shower room completes the ground floor accommodation. Take the stairs to the first floor, where under the timbered eaves there is a second bedroom, with a double bed, and a shower room with hand basin and WC.
Step out onto the terrace, where there is a lush green lawn, and a centrepiece, a step-entry swimming pool, with views over the adjacent fields towards the town. Wooden sun loungers and seaside deck chairs surround the pool, perfectly positioned under a shaded spot. As dusk falls feast at the four-seater alfresco dining set, with dishes freshly grilled on the barbeque, and raise a glass of retsina to life’s simple pleasures.
